thought this was interesting

All Time Box Office DOMESTIC GROSSES

Adjusted for Ticket Price Inflation*

Makes perfect sense that it's mostly older movies, adjusted for inflation but not adjusted for the competition movies have these days from more movies, TV, the internet, video games and whatnot.

Avatar looks like a huge success in that respect.

Hateful Eight- The last hour was decent, but I can't forgive the total waste of 2 hours of my time in the slow boring build up to the action. 5/10

Going to the 70mm Panavision presentation in Leicester Square on Monday, can't wait.

At the other end of the spectrum, did you hear about Morgan Freeman's film "Momentum"?  Grossed £46 in it's opening weekend, yes £46, not even a tenner a cinema Cheesy

Poor bloke.

Poor bloke.

With such a poor amount, you can't even assume it's a bad film because there is nobody to tell anyone else it sucked, gotta assume it's just horrific marketing.

Loved every second of it watched it 2 nights in a row something I have never done.  The build up, the scenery, the kinda of old day western feel. 9/10

Pretty sure I am going to see it for the 3rd time on the big screen,

Enjoyed Hateful 8.. essential Tarintino.. Great characters .. all their little stories, quirks and nuances.. brilliant as always building to the final act.

As usual the dialogue is fantastic .

We live too much in a world that want wham bam.. I'm bored.. this films crap 10 minutes in because something hasn't exploaded in a super nova fireball..

Love Quentin

The Revenant.

Great film and great story, and whilst being pretty long manages to keep your attention for the full duration, Tarantino please learn...

Would seem Cineworld don't have The Hateful Eight in any of their cinemas. Same deal for next week too. Don't remember this happening with such a big flick before.

Nearest showing to me is 25 miles away. Ridic.

http://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/jan/05/the-hateful-eight-quentin-tarantino-not-showing-cineworld-picturehouse

9/10 One of Tarantino's best - the dialogue, cinematography and score were sublime.

It was fantastic watching it in 70mm. All the trailers were digital - Independence Day, Batman v Superman, Warcraft etc. - and took up about 60% of the screen. They were all so sterile, so precise, so artificial whereas as soon as the BBFC rating screen appeared you could just tell it was 'film'. It juddered a bit and had a depth and intensity that made everything that went before it look a little bit rubbish.

If you're a fan of cinema do yourself a huge favour and if at all possible go to Leicester Square to watch it.

Finally went to see Star Wars TFA

Enjoyed it immensely in full glourious imax... New and old melding..some nice touchs and nods to the earlier films..little bit of humour as well

Love that TIE fighter whine

Would have been better had some arse not put a massive spoiler on FB deliberatly... insta defriend ( KNOB )

Really like JJ's work here looking forward to upcoming movies
