Lasted about an hour and a half before giving up. Action movies are mainly just meh imo.

Got to yet another chasey, shooty sequence and I ran out of patience. Fine for what it is though.

A Prayer Before Dawn, true story of British boxer in Thai jail.

Modern, minimal dialogue, takes you into the heart of the action using actual prisons and real inmates.

Thought it was mustard.

Thanks for the rec, decent enough although I’d say it was more mustard mayonnaise than full on English mustard.

Nice nod to the real bloke at the end also, good to see he dragged himself up, doubt any snowflake could have done that they would have folded and probably ended up hanged.

Was a bit disappointed with Incredibles 2 (maybe a 7), but Hotel Transylvania 3 is the worst kids film I have seen in quite some time (solid 0).  The ending was particularly excrutiating.

There have been so many good kids films in the last couple of years. I think Coco was the best of them, must be so hard to make a good film for kids about death (9.5/10).

About 60 years late on this one but... just watched 12 Angry Men (1957). Timeless themes and great writing, amazing how a movie about 12 guys talking in a room can hold your attention for 90 minutes.

Number 1 for me, brilliant film.

Watched The Kaiser - the greatest footballer never to play football over the weekend.
If it wasn't real you would never believe it, awesome soundtrack.  Well worth watching.

Saw the latest Mission Impossible film in 3D and thought it was a really good film. Easily an 8-8 1/2.

As usual with this franchise it’s a decent story and the action scenes are really really good.

The Meg

I thought it would be big and silly but it takes itself so so seriously.

Loads of exposition when all we want is Statham to rip his top off and start punching stuff. We don't actually see the shark for ages and then, when we finally do, it's a bit underwhelming.

It is really awful. I don't know why I stayed till the end. Avoid avoid avoid.

Basically a pile of poop. Typical summer nonsense with paper-thin characters, but I really liked it.

I'm a sucker for Statham though. What a guy! Up there with Ace Rimmer.

The Meg was pegged for a $20 million domestic opening weekend but instead made $45.4 million plus $101.5 million internationally, to give it a global opening weekend box office total of $146.9 million.

Warner Bros’ other big 2018 releases, Ready Player One and Ocean’s 8, made a slightly less of an opening weekend impact by earning $41.7 million and $41.6 million respectively, despite the long-running international furore surrounding both during the lead up to each film’s release.
