Your right it's a great fold, i seem to remember
Praz Banzi folding a similar hand (boat over boat) in one of last years GUKPT events
, or was it the year before? Still both great folds.
He folded KT on a KTT board and was shown KK
huh? no effing way, he cant fold flop, what was the board, must have been more danger cards for him to fold.
nope he did fold K 10 on a board that contained k 10 10 and 2 lower cards i believe.
ffs - did you hear about the bluff on
Mick
Fletcher
....
I was sat next to
Mick
Fletcher
when that hand went off. In the time I've spent playing poker, there are only 3 or 4 real "jaw-dropping" hands I've ever witnessed which I still vividly remember, & that play against Fletcher by Praz was one of them. It goes in the same box as the Ivey-Jackson play in the MMC, & the Thewy/Barker hand when Thewy won his first ever Main Event, at Luton, some years back. (I Passed pocket Threes to a R & a RR at Brighton once - it's a gift I possess.)
I reported on the Bansi/Fletcher hand. I'm sure if you plow through the Bolton GUKPT 2007 updates, you'll be able to find it... if anyone has a five minutes to murder.

While he has jacks full, it is only the fourth nuts here, and given the board and the action the chances of a bluff here are virtually nil.

You would still min raise trying to rep AA/TT and make him fold his hand.

what did fletcher have?
A-8.
He had started to bully the Table, & was Raising almost every hand, & "any Ace" was enough for him to get seriously busy.
Praz watched this for a few orbits, & just decided it was time to slow Fletcher down.
Praz put his entire Tourney on the line, in a drama-packed hand which took a very long time tto play out, as Praz was giving it serious dwellage every Street, & staring Mick down big-time.
It was suggested later that it made no sense for Praz to risk his Tourney in such a way. Maybe, maybe not, but it was a stunning hand to watch go down. Praz later said "he was trying to be Table Captain, & I'd just had enough of that".

i think if you ask 50 pros how they play this .
without saying what the other player has got 99% will go broke.
lolz i think if you ask 50 actual pro's not mugs who travel around the circuit claiming to be pro's that about 2% of them would go broke.....
I am the most ridic calling station i know and even i pass this pretty fast.
The Banzi KT hand details please!

Got to agree with this. While I might not be good enough to fold I certainly can't see any value in shoving the lot in.
What are you beating that can possibly call and pay you off? A10, K10, J10 and that's it. Even those hands are unlikely to call your shove and what the hell are they doing there in the first place following the pre flop 600 raise?
Given the fact that there's 2 overs that could both have easily hit the pre flop raiser I can definitely see where the fold comes from.

+1...I might call (probably do actually..very likely TBH) but sure as hell don't push here...and I'm a mug so any pro (winning pro) can't possibly push here surely?
