Worse than the bookies - I'm voicing an opinion not putting money on it (unless I can get daft odds).

I want Murray to win just my head is saying Simon will just pip him (heads often wrong though).

Your opinion is now officially worthless

Playing Gilles Simon in the final, who just beat Nadal in the other semi. Gotta make Murray a clear fave for the final, in fact i am bit disappointed as i thought there was going to be some value in Murray against Nadal.

Simon just beat Nadal and that makes Murray favourite (err How???).

Simon has been playing fantastic tennis this week and if Murray beats him then it'll be a hell of a victory.

Lol no offence Flea but this is like the schoolboy arguement that if Man U draw against Newcastle and Hull beat Newcastle, then Wigan beat Hull 5-0. Wigan should beat Man U, 11 millon-0.

Simon beat an off form Nadal, this is Nadal's weakest surface. This is Murray's best surface, he is ranked higher in the world than Simon, he has just beat Federer in a lot less gruelling game played earlier in the day.

Current betfair odds:

Murray 1.33
Simon   3.9

Pretty clear fave imo.

No offence taken but what I meant was Simon is the in-form guy and has played the best tennis of his life on a surface that suits him (wasn't surprised he beat Nadal) and likewise whilst Murray is playing well I think he'll have to go some to beat Simon.

I actually think the value bet would be Simon to beat Murray (rather than the Murray to beat Nadal that you were anticipating) - I hope I'm wrong obviously but I still think Simon will win.

And in response to AndrewT, didn't Federer have an extra day before the US Open final as Murrays match was delayed (so a much bigger advantage than Murrays extra 4 hours this time).

Murray is more inform surely.

Us open finalist where he beat Nadal a lot more convincing that Simon did today, won last master series in Cincinatti and has swept all before him this tournament.

I missed the 1st set today but he was clearly the much better player in the last 2 sets against Federer who won the US and despite being on the wane is still better than Nadal on hard courts, so imo Murray had the harder semi today not withstanding it was played in Madrid.

At least we have established a price.
The stake will have to be negotiated, anything less than a quid & its not worth my while   Smiley

At 1.33, Murry is a lay surely?  Far to short to back imo.

Anyone watching this match in Shanghai, 5-5 in the final set. Murray has had about 7 match point, last game lasted 15 minutes, epic stuff.

Watched the first 2 sets - Murray seemed to be losing his temper with himself again - good that he recovered from it.

If Murray wins this now he gets a 900K bonus for winning every match - nice if you can get it.
