Perhaps Cisse can foregoe his wages to allow Newcastle to turn down the Wonga deal?

Wonga are paying Newcastle £8m per year to be shirt sponsors. Its scary to think how much money companies like this must be making.

Least Bolton didn't decided to be shirt sponsored by one due to fan pressure.

The quicker they are outlawed the better.

All this talk of Newcastle players and religion v Wonga shirts, with the archbishop also having a go at Wonga. Newcastles first game of the season is against Man City and they now have Jesus playing for them.

I see Remy signed for the season while in Ireland.

The singularly most exciting striker I've seen at Loftus Road since Sir Les. And you lot saw how good he was.

Super fast and very quick thinking plus skilful and has a great shot on him.

Reminded me of Thierry Henry.

Did go massively off the boil once relegation was pretty much confirmed, but for the first 4 to 6 matches he was brilliant.

Hope we get promoted and he comes back.

Even if QPR get promoted he'll want to move to a bigger club assuming he gets noticed at Newcastle?

so much love for this:

Newcastle have no appetite to sell Cabaye, but will not rule out the sale of any player following their experiences with Andy Carroll in 2011.

Taylor wants crucifying. What a stupid thing to do in the last minute of stoppage time.

Is it really acceptable that a player who is under contract can just be put down to "his heads not right" and doesn't have to play because a bigger club want to buy him, is that really professional ?

As things stand our season will mirror last year, looking forward to it immensely!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'd do well to find a back four as bad as yours too.

Luckily the 3 promoted clubs will see Newcastle safe but really should be challenging top 10. The result has probably done you a favour...if you lost 1-0 maybe no signings now you could up signing a few!

Pretty far off the mark there.

Our defence is actually pretty strong, just played shit tonight.

Debuchy is undoubtably a quality player.
Colo is proven class.
Yanga Mbiwa looks very promising.
Santon is better than a lot of other lb's in the league although went a bit off the boil last season.
