Bubble-bubble time, Pete Singleton and Paul Garnham amongst those in a precarious position.

Mark Lewis is OUT, I'm afraid. No amount of good luck wishing can help him now.

Interesting hand.

Gurpreet Nagi limps for 2.4k, it's passed to Alan Stearn who moves all-in for about 64k, Antonio Dicesare folds Tens face up to blinds Daniel Ward and Billy Ngo and Nagi also folds.

Dicesare then gets a warning for exposing his cards to the blinds...

Daniel Ward is now also very short, in a limped pot with Nagi and Paul Garnham, Ward check/raised Nagi's 5k bet to 12k on a board before both checked the river. Nagi's 9-7 was good. Ward just on 30k.

Waheed Ashraf busts in 13th place... (having had it all go wrong bit by bit today, Penly took the last of his stack)

Meaning it's the BUBBLE.

Three of our contenders count as dangerously short:

Paul Garnham - 23k
Adrian Swingler - 21k
Daniel Ward - 28k

The pressure is on them most of all, but we're hovering around both tables just in case, like bubble-hungry vultures.

And doesn't this photo just sum up the wonderful joyous feeling we all get when we don't have a lot of chips and are faced with the delightful prospect of going home with £0?

And here's the more crucial hand which sent Ashraf spinning gently towards the exit - I got this story straight from the horse's mouth...

Adrian Swingler limped utg, Ashraf limped with on the button, the blinds came in too.  The flop brought him bottom pair on a J-9-3 board, and everyone checked.
The turn brought an Ace - that's two pair for the slow of calculation - and now when it checked round he fired 20k.  This chunky bet was called only by Swingler.
The river: another Nine.  Now Swingler bet out 20k.  "I had to call," says Ashraf, "If he's got an Ace, the Jack might mean we chop it..." but no - it was in his opponent's hand and the loss of that 50k pretty much busted him.
