First blood to Andreas Hoivold. The Norwegian raised to 32,000 preflop and picked up the blinds uncontested.

On the second hand, the action passed around to Guy Johnson who pushed all in from the small blind. Eddie Lundon conceded his big.

Then, on the next hand, Zachary Ford bumped it up to a total of 35,000, which was enough to take down the pot preflop.

Gareth Jones raised to 36,000 preflop and Darren Hickman defended from the big blind. On a flop, Jones took it down with a continuation bet of 58,000.

The final table particpants had no idea of the death and destruction that was heading their way as the evil white umbrella came to crush them all....

Incidentally, the dealer here, the pixie-ish Katie, is a true 'dealer of death' with non-stop coolers a speciality, as we witnessed in the cash games last night.

Zachary Ford made it 38,000 from the small blind, Gareth Jones bumped it up to 90,000 and Ford made the fold.

On the following hand, Andreas Hoivold raised it up to 32,000 from the cut-off, only for Zachary Ford to push all in from the button. Hoivold passed.

It's been an aggressive start to this final table, but we're still lacking a showdown.

Zachary Ford raises it up and Alan Vinson calls from the big blind.

Vinson checks, Ford bets 50k. Alan moves in and Ford calls.

Vinson:
Ford:

Chop chop.

Neil Channing, "Everyone seems to have a plan, which is just to push whenever Andreas raises, but Andreas isn't stupid, he'll just start calling them lighter."

Right out of the blue, we witness a double through, Damian Evan's late position push with being snap-called by Zachary Ford in the big blind with . The two hearts board means Evans is now on 65,000 and looking likely to be our first final table exit.

Brian Martin pushes and takes the blinds.

Eddie Lundon raises and takes the blinds.

Andreas Hoivold makes it 32k to play and Guy Johnson thinks about reraising before just calling.

Check from Johnson, 41k from Hoivold and Johnson fiddles with his 10k chips before then announcing all.

"Count please," says Hoivold. It's 326k more for the Norwegian but he folds.

Damian Evans is OUT and becomes the 9th place finisher winning £7,650

With a desperately short-stacked Damian Evans sitting on the small blind, the action passed around to Alan Vinson who nonchalantly announced all-in from the small blind. Evans shrugged his shoulders before calling all-in for the coppers he had left and turned over Two Diamonds. Vinson tabled . Evan's apprehensive expression was perhaps an omen as the board came to eliminate him in ninth.

Guy Johnson raises to 32k and Zachary Ford bumps it up to 82k from the big blind. Johnson dwells for ages alluding to the fact he might have a small pair saying, "I'm not even sure a low flop would be safe."

He passes.

Next hand he raises again and once more Ford calls from the small blind.

Check check

Check check

Check...."Go on, I'll check it," says Johnson.

Johnson shows a very cautiously played to win.

Guy Johnson is OUT and becomes the 8th place finisher winning £10,250

Guy Johnson raised to 36,000 from UTG, only for Zachary Ford to make it a total of 100,000 to play from late position. After asking for a count (the answer was approximately 500,000), Johnson smooth-called.

With the flop barely dealt, Johnson announced all-in and Ford called.

Ford =

Johnson =

Turn =

River =

On the final hand prior to the break, Darren Hickman raised to 37,000 from the small blind, Andreas Hoivold made it a total of 100,000 from the big blind and Hickman passed.

Players are now on a 60 minute dinner break.
