Adam Clarkatroid: 15k and on the Table Of Darkness And Misery
Iwan Jones: 20k; see above
Richard Gryko: 42k; ditto
Stuart Rutter: 16.5k and on the Table Of Silly Hats since Surinder Sunar has joined him there and also put on something unsuitable and woolly
Barny Boatman: 8.6k and woeful

Here are the happy tablemates as of five minutes ago:

Blurry Dan Carter (he was giving a manic thumbs-up but unfortunately thought better of it at the last possible second)

Just got back from a relatively harmless crack binge and was looking for a moomin chip count...

I didn't see the very start of the hand, but I got there just in time to see Knut Ekvardt (not a typo) go all in for 12,850 more than whatever the bet was before. After some eying up and squinting, Chris Moorman called, and it was a non-traditional coinflip for a rather massive pot.

Ekvardt:
Moorman:

Board: Two Clubs

Nope, not a split as everyone briefly thought but a scoop for the Moomin and a swift exit for Knut.

Just the Trickett!

Why the chirpy terrible pun title, when it looks from this picture like Sam Trickett might have lost his dog, had his tyres slashed, his wallet stolen and been told he can't go on holiday?  Because despite how it looks, this is actually the moment Trickett doubles up through Karl Mahrenholz to 40,000.  Trickett, under the gun, either limp-reraised Karl preflop, or raised small and then came over the top to the tune of 6k more.  Heads up, and Karl thought about it for a while before deciding that this didn't have to be what it looked like - he reraised him all in and can't have been too delighted when Trickett beat him into the pot.  As you do with .  Mahrenholz's missed the Aces and his stack was efficiently counted off and pretty much decimated at the end.  Staring around the pillar in the middle of the room, it appears Mahrenholz is now OUT and yet another table has broken, bringing our total remaining players for the day to just 44.

Love You Long Time

Long Zhang is the man the rest have to catch at this point with over 80k in his stack at present...

David Lloyd is up to 25k and is celebrating with a massage.

Ben Vinson - another young gun, another man with a big stack - circa 60k at present.

Richard Gryko - 38,000 puts him in contention.

Steve Jelinek is also going along nicely with 26,000.

Mr Surinder Sunar may have been reading my updates or just been suffering from an overheating brain, as his entertaining woolly beanie hat has disappeared and been replaced with a more poker-playerous baseball cap. Disappointing. Sad

Some of you may be aware of The Tao of Poker blog, written by Dr Pauly. His blog and other journalist work has made him famous but what some of you might not realise is he has a twin brother, albeit a slightly more inflated version of him.

Here they are in all their glory.

Pauly.
