any shorties hanging about?

Richard Ashby and Tony Cascarino are the likely candidates to be next out, both with 80k or so...

Stu has played the last two tables very well, he's been raising pretty regularly and getting decent value out of his good hands.

Definitely one of the best performances from Stu I've seen.

And we nearly, nearly have an all-in situation... Hand for hand takes a long time sometimes, and at any hint of excitement, everyone gathers around eagerly awaiting the news of one of their fellow players' tournament demise.

Surinder just-over-minraised pre, but then Tony Cascarino confidently shoved all in on the big blind.  Despite there being 50k in the pot, and the raise being 40k, Surinder tanked while everyone held their collective breaths.  Expecting him to call any second, we found him passing!  Cascarino flashed and the game continues...

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

JC!

Maz just saw Guy Steele raise it up on the button and when he looked down at a pair of tens, he was happy to put a hefty re-raise in.

Unfortunately for him, Guy was going nowhere with his luscious pair of pocket Kings and so the pair got it in, with Maz looking in dire shape.

A King on the flop sealed the deal for Guy and Maz's tournament was very nearly brought to a halt, but he had 25k more than Guy so survives...just.

Maz had to make a move pretty soon and did so the next hand with 8-8. Surinder though had pocket and a board of did nothing to alter the balance of power. We are sad for Maz who made an awesome comeback from a tiny stack BUT...

Maz's elimination in 10th spot for £8,300 means the tournament comes to a close for the day as we now have our final 9 competitors!

We'll post up the final chip stacks when we receive official confirmation from Jon Raab.

For now though we congratulate those lucky nine and we thank you for following us today through our travails.

We hope we have amused and entertained you all. It's really been a blast and the players have really put on a great show of poker.

Join us tomorrow for the final run-in as we seek to crown the Grand Final champion!

But for now from myself, Jen and Dana
