Simon Trumper has just pointed out you can buy-in til 7.15pm, he would really like 200 runners and it might be close. When asked what he would do if it got 199, I nobly stepped in saying I would allow Simon to buy me in to be number 200. I am prepared to make that sacrifice.

With 20 minutes to go and 152 on the count-a-meter, the cardroom is looking pretty sparse, but don't fear, it shall be packed like sardines in a lift come 2pm.

I don't know about you, but I haven't been this excited since Villa released Savo Milosevic.

Picture of Richard Whitely please, no reason other than I want to confirm it's not the other one. Tnx. (And before anyone says anything I know that he is allegedly dead)  Roll Eyes

Kin - did you just change your post to include Richard Whitely? Trust no one!

One player guaranteed to make an appearance was er... Benny Hill? No, hold on, that can't be right, and course it's not, it is indeed slug balancer 'Red'Dog' Tom McCready doing an impression of the skirt-chasing 70's pervert, for reasons unknown to anyone in the room.

Caught by my paparazzi touch was Nick Whiten, smiling profusely from smashing that £100,000 guarantee and boasting of mammoth numbers in last night's satellite, which may explain the highly credible 156 currently registered for today's event. "It was mayhem here last night," he explained. "We got 171 just for the £25 freezeout."

Snoops - someone has just asked this on another thread:

What is the maximum number of entrants for fridays £300 buy-in please? Also, is there any chance this could fill up, I dont want to travel if this is likely. Cheers.

Could you ask and report back please?  thumbs up

Good luck Tommy Rutter!

He's a very superstitious lad, so I'm predicting not only will wear his lucky scarf, but will make sure he takes his seat a few minutes after the start. Give him some suitable stick please.

EPT winner Will Fry crossed my path.

"Have you spent all the money yet?" I ask.

"I spent about three quarters of it on women and booze and squandered the rest."
