HAHA, he had his hair dyed especially for this

no joke

I bet his straighteners were on overdrive as well.

He has an awkward seat as well, John Conroy to his right, with Lawrence Gosney and Ben Vinson to his left. Not easy.

Rumour has it Dewi's been off the drink since SATURDAY!!!

The second crew member to hit the deck was Mark Bond. He fell from the bird's nest with queens versus A-J on a 3-A-7-J-J board. I have no idea where the gold went in, but it's his opponent who scoops the treasure whilst Bond is left to walk the plank. I also have no idea why I'm using pirate references... mi hearties.

Don't think he's getting there until 6-ish.  So at least he'll still be in then...

Chris Bruce is having a frustrating start, after a few limps on his blind, he raised it up with A-Q and got three callers

The flop was and Brucie tried to nick with a bonus 700 chip continuation bet, got called in one spot before there was a raise to 2,000. The third player got out of the way but Charles Valentine in seat 1 made the call. The raiser then continued to fire out another 2,000 on the turn and then 4,000 on the river but was called in both spots and forced to show for bottom pair and a busted flush draw, his opponent showed for the missed double gutshot draw but a rivered third pair which was good enough for the pot.

Valentine looks to be one of our early chip leaders with over 40k.

As Jon Kalmar fired out 800 on a board and then 1,600 on the river to take a pot, he seemed much more concerned about his wife's efforts who is over on table 11.

Seeing as Dewi's off the Guinness, let's compensate with our own little Guinness book of DTD records:

Hairiest player = Guntis Feldmanis

Most card protector obsessed player = Charles Velentine

Most camouflaged player = Gavin Ball

Most permed player = James Mitchell

Gayest player = David Jones

I must emphasise that the last one is just a joke. I have nothing against David, or homosexuality as a whole. In fact, what David does in his own time is his own business.

I fear there could be a number of Will Fry hands reported today, not because we worship his every move, but because like Pete Linton, Ali Mallu and fellow EPT winner Julian Thew, Will has a tendency to play a lot of hands, and approach them in a way that differs somewhat from his opponents. Take exhibit A, for example. After making up the small blind, Will and the big blind saw a flop of . Will bes out 125, his neighbour made it 350, only for Will to apply the pressure and bump it up to 1,000, which was duly called. Aggression once again on the turn, as Will led out for 1,500, only for his stubborn opponent to make the call for the second consecutive time. On the river, however, Fry increased his bet to 3,500 which, after a long dwell from his opponent, was enough to take down the pot.

Will shows .
