This is it!

The second year of the immensely popular GUKPT tour draws to a close and what better way to mark the end of the schedule than to gather together the winners of all the previous GUKPT main and side events for what should be a mesmerising clash.

The cream of GUKPT talent will be on show here as all 93 competitors duke it out for the honour of winning the final event on the tour as well as hoping to line their already overflowing pockets with the rather juicy lure of the £75k prizepool on offer.

For many, it will be the honour of winning that will be the key to the event. Saying you've bested all the other winners of the GUKPT events gives you immense bragging rights and the winner will have to see off some stiff competition before they can lord it over their fellow players whilst swigging Dom Perignon at the bar.

They'll have to adjust to the format first though for this is no normal tournament.

There will be a disparity in the amount of chips each player gets with number of wins and size of buy-in factored into exactly how many chips each player starts with.

Sam Trickett will be the man they are all chasing with three wins under his belt this season, though he'll have a fight on his hands with Jeff Kimber, Marc Goodwin and of course recent GUKPT Grand Final winner Paul "Pab" Foltyn lurking just a gnat's whisker behind.

The exact starting stacks will follow shortly but we encourage you to participate in what should be an exciting, tense and good spirited contest between the elite GUKPT players over the last year. Naturally myself and the mcuh acclaimed and talented Ms Dana Immanuel will be bringing all the thrills and spills to you in the comfort of your armchairs, with the usual smattering of humour, photoshops and awesome punnery to liven up proceedings.

Throw any requests, shouts of support or anything else our way and we'll do our utmost to service you as best we can.

Battle lines have been drawn and the players are ready...

Bring it on!

There will be a disparity in the amount of chips each player gets with number of wins and size of buy-in factored into exactly how many chips each player starts with.

Smiley

So for instance Sam Trickett with 3 wins under his belt this year (not to mention nearly picking up a WSOP bracelet in the summer) will start with 20,000 chips.

Meanwhile Pab's win in the London GUKPT GF with its 3k buyin merits a 15k starting stack.

I'm not sure of the exact formula but more wins + bigger buyins = more chips is a close approximation lol.

It should also be noted that this is a one day event and thus the tournament clock will be running at a slightly more pacy than usual (for a GUKPT) 45 minutes.

This should raise a few pulses and mean the shorter stacked players will have to get their skates on if they are to keep up with messrs. Foltyn, Kimber, Goodwin and Trickett.

It should make for some exciting, aggressive poker imo.

Keep an eye on Sam Trickett early on, I think he wants to either build a stack quickly or he'll want to come up to DTD for the £1k event. Could be similar with several other players also.
