It looked as though Kevin O'Connell raised from early position and called a reraise to 5,000 from Peter Hambleton on the button. On the flop, O'Connell check-called a bet of 6,500, before checking the turn. As the river was dealt, O'Connell led out for 6,000 which, if matched, would leave Hambleton with just 1,000. Although hesitant, Hambleton said "Oh, go on then" and made the call, but was unable to compete with O'Connell's . A hand or two later, and Hambleton was gone.

Dewi James raises the hijack, Glynn Cooke calls from the cutoff.

Dewi bets 2k, Glynn raises to 4.5k. Call.

Check check.

And check check again. Glynn hopes his is good, it isn't. Dewi shows .

Ben down to 22k is that right? Saw where he lost about 40k to PC but started with 115 so assumed 70k+ left. What else happened?

Do you have a count for Jim Buckley too please?

Good news for all you Jim 'Wonkyjim' 'Splash' 'Martin Freeman' 'Tim from the Office' Buckley fans.

He's just knocked out Mark Hayes with vs , a rather helpful four-flush doing it for him.

Cristiano Blanco has been quietly moving along quite nicely just added a healthy 15k or so to his stack. James Green bet 2.5k on a Two Diamonds , Neil Giblin called and Blanco raised to 8k. Green folded but Giblin called. Here endeth the action though as it went check/check on the turn and river of and three diamonds. Blanco's was still good though.

Can the Italian, now based in London, make an impression on this competition?

From being second in chips at the start of the day, Ben Mayhew found himself all in just moments ago, although he had his opponent, Stuart Rolfe, just about covered. As Mayhew stood from his seat and loomed a shadow over the table, you could sense he wasn't confident about his hand and was perhaps thinking more about that long journey home.

As the cards were revealed, Mayhew was indeed in piping hot water, his in need of divine assistance against Rolfe's . The Two Clubs flop was set-less, as was the turn, but as my eyes were fixated on a third six, I missed the flush that finally arrived on the three clubs to bail Mayhew out.

A relieved Mayhew retook his seat as a dejected Rolfe congratulated his opponent and trundled towards the door.

A Snoopy Parkinson interview with DTD head-honcho Nick Whiten (prounounced 'White-in' not 'Wit-in' apparently, we didn't know that) is coming up.

Double up for Lee McMillan against Darren Matlock, all-in preflop with against three diamonds . McMillan explains how he wants the hand dealt out which would cause the most grief for his opponent.

"I want to come with two spades on the flop and then the on the river!"

A sweat for McMillan but he survives, Matlock is crippled though.

On the next table, Lawrence Gosney raises Aleksandrs Karlins flop bet on a to about 8k before betting 12k on the turn. Karlins folds and looks miserable. Gosney shows but doesn't break into a smile.

lol

rofl. Go Gosney!!!
