Amer Latif must have lost a few chips while I was writing up the last hand. I saw him push UTG for about 80k and it got passed to Tom Rutter in the big blind who thought long and hard, before calling.

Latif:
Rutter:

"Good call," says Sandeep Shah.

Tom, "He took a bit of time to push so I didn't think he had A-K, the only thing I was worried by was A-J."

16   Amer Latif   £986
17   Tom Kugelstadt   £986
18   Daniel Copeland   £986
19   Jim Peppercorn   £600

Tom Kugelstadt is eliminated in 17th place, wins £985

I picked up the action from when Kugelstadt had announced all-in preflop and Sandeep Shah was considering calling - I think there may have been more than one raise involved in this, rather than a straight shove from Kugelstadt, but it wasn't clear as within a minute Shah had called with .  Kugelstadt, who at one point had a veritable mountain of chips, was now comfortably covered, and held .

"Keep it low," was the murmur from Shah, or, to be more precise, the little team of railers who've appeared as if from the air itself to cheer him on.  The board emerged two spades which was low enough to bust Tom Kugelstadt, pictured here shaking hands with his opponents as he leaves.

More amusingly, and less magnanimously, Shah's railer manages to sneak him a hi-five and shouts, "Massive!  It's a big call you know, bro!" clearly carried away with his bro's runaway success today.

Played with Shah before- decent player but a massive station. No way he was passing there

Double up for Steve Brown after a succession of tense hands where short (and not so short) stacks have been putting the pressure on by raising all in.  In his case he put his whole 81k in on the small blind over the top of Andrew Papageorgiou who'd raised to 37k in the cutoff.  "I've put too much in," he said, and made the call with , but stayed behind Brown's .

Rough chip counts for the table:

22   1   Paul Gourlay - 520k
22   2   Andrew Papageorgiou - 130k
22   3   Jeremy Betts - 180k
22   6   Steve Brown - 180k
22   7   Panos Panayi - 270k
22   8   Christopher Brammer - 400k
22   9   David Mundle - 130k

Paul Gourlay eliminates Andrew Papageorgiou in 13th place (winning £1,379)

Having been reraised off a button raise by Jeremy Betts (with air, for which he got a round of applause), Paul Gourlay picked up next hand and raised again.  Short stacked Papageorgiou moved all-in and Gourlay was in no mood to fold - he was up against .  Promptly spiking an Ace on the flop and a Queen on the river, he evened up the number of players on each table, bumping his stack up to even greater heights.

I would also like to publicly apologise for calling his hoody 'ridiculous' earlier.  When taken together with the ensemble as a whole it makes a kind of sense.  I guess.
