We're now down to 3 tables after El Blondie's table split. He's now sitting to Barney Boatman's left. Two of the best players here are now in very close vacinity. ... but Jen and I reckon Dave and Barney are pretty good too.

The two biggest names here are Darren Grosvenor and Anthony Nicholls. Both 15 letters!

Alan Mclean starts the rebuilding process by knocking out Elias Katzi in 27th place (it looked like a pair of Queens were what did it).
We were wondering here (well, Tikay was posing one of his guessing game questions): What time do y'all reckon the final table (nine-handed) will start? I said 7:30 and they all laughed.

A. Nicholls - 204.5k S. Wilsdon - 22k T. Falla - 28.5k
Anthony Nicholls is still chip leader.
He said he was after the win, not the money.
I asked him to give me the dosh when he won then.

Here's Womble checking out his hand. Now that Howard Plant's arrived on his table it's a bit louder (although the Magician is pretty short, things like "I could be back in bed in an hour" are flying around). There's also a bit of controversy as two stray 1,000 chips find their way into contention. You'd think people nearing a final would keep a tight rein on their precious chips, but oh no.

9.27 precisely by my calculations

"its going really quick today" says Snoops. Not sure if he's referring to the comp or his mobile connection. Either way, its bound to slow down later on...

Andy Gomm just took down a pot of around 15-20k.
He held pocket rockets on a board with two aces. His bet on the river was called by pocket sevens.

Finally Tim Falla (left) and MH Kazi (a very amiable guy who pointed out that his name had no 't' as previously published elsewhere this morning).

DC has pulled his way back up to 50k. Definitely worth El Blondie coming back then.
BREAKING NEWS - Andy Gomm is the only player left who sits with his chair the wrong way around.

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.
