Kevin Zarandi doubles up at Micky's expense now - he pushed with  Ah and Micky's  ended up losing him about 20,000 when the king came on the flop.

Average stack 58.9k.

Blinds are now 1k and 2k.

Dave Clark's preflop raise of 12k was just reraised by M Alden for another 20k.

Dave Colclough seemed to consider joining in the party, but he folded.

Dave Clark also mucked and Alden took the pot there and then.

15 minutes til the chip-counting opportunity provided by the break (oh goody!)  So you'll get some accuracy to go with the Stories Of the Moment (Anthony Nicholls has lots; Dave Colclough's stack multiplies seemingly exponentially; Micky Wernick doing well; Howard Plant, Tim Falla, Steve Wilsdon are short stacks etc.)

DC just informed me that he folded AK because he didn't know too much out M Alden, the reraiser.

thx, charmaine.

Dave Colclough continues to build his stack.

He just reraised from the big blind.

M Alden, who made the initial raise of 10.4k, eventually folds.

No hands shown, but Dave adds a few more to his stack.

Quite a comeback from 6.6k!

Mark Alden plays a lot online and is a regular here at Walsall 2 or 3 times a week, so he told me. Think this is his first big comp though.

Hi Charmaine - it's gone a tad quiet now, but I am sure the tea consumed in the forthcoming break will wake them up...

Kevin Zarandi's streak continues as he doubles up off Alan Mclean in the following manner -

Alan re-raised Micky Wernick's under the gun raise to 26k, which Kevin just flat called on the button, despite the fact that that left him with just 15k behind.  That was enough of the hand for Micky, and he passed.  The flop came  .  Check, check (curiouser and curiouser, I thought).  Then the blank-looking turn ( ) saw Alan put Kevin all in with his  , and Kevin Zarandi call with his  !  The river was the  and that's another double up for Kevin.

Current chip leader, Anthony Nicholls, has 252.5k.

I like this chap. He stacks his chips in nice easy-to-count piles.

Mohammed Rauf has just taken out Tim Falla, who was all in with JJ for 22k. Rauf had AQ

Flop was K5A...
