LOL Burnley in play off spot, 2 amazing cup runs and dont get a player in the championship side.

A case of a solid  team effort all round rather than any outstanding individuals?

Surely Robbie Blake's gotta be in there?

yep...don't forget the 12 times he came on as a sub though....I reckon they swayed it in his favour over someone like Stevie G.

Giggs is a great player and a legend of the game.

He has been fantastic for United for so many years and one of the best players in the Premiership.

But even he must have been a bit embarrassed to be picking up this award ?

He's not played that much this season, has contributed well when on the pitch, but Gerrard and Vidic have had much much better seasons.

It's the players votes that count though, although it does beg the question about how this award is decided ?

Problem is and always has been the timing of the vote- if this vote was taken when it should be- in April I think Gerrard would have probably pipped Vidic.

That being said I'm glad Giggs has won it- probably should have won it earlier in his career.

It's been a poor quality season imo- no team/player has stood out. I think next year will be interesting. I can't see Liverpool mounting a chalenge again.

Which is the reason he's won it this season, isn't it?  So it's a farce really?

Maybe. Tho when the voting was done Giggs was in great form. I think had the voting been done in April he wouldn't have won.

TBH I think Gerrard and Torres have been the best players by a country mile uptil now.

Torres has missed too many games.  Oh, that shouldn't rule him out though should it?
