Play recommences at 2pm once more, but a couple of things.

[X] By some coincidence, I'm in the same hotel as all the dealers.
[  ] They sure want to have a quiet night and all read books in their room quietly.
[  ] I didn't leave them drinking and playing poker at 4am.
[X] I left having been sucked out on.
[  ] The 24-hr Tesco next door isn't doing a roaring trade this weekend.
[X] It's still good fun.
[?] I'm going to regret all this.

It is 6 20am, I just won £35 on a 25p 25p blinds DC cash game and I shall mostly be dealing the main event with a hangover in 7 hours.

I love the GUKPT

By a strange quirk I managed to book myself into the Premier Inn at Heaton Park thinking it was the closest to the casino so escaped the dealers hotel and the chance to fleece George and Simon from Luton

[  ] This though was a good hotel choice

I strode into reception at 1.40am into what appeared to be a scene from Are you beng served, or possibly a sketch from the Fast Show

"Good evening, I have a room booked for three nights"

"ooh sir, you must have had a long journey sir, ooh sir. Long journey sir?"

"Well three hours or so, but that was much earlier, I've just finished work"

"Oooooh sir, three hours sir, ooh sir. Fill in this card sir"

"Ok, here you go"

"Thank you sir, room 41 sir, breakfast 7-9am sir. Recover from your long journey first sir"

"cheers"

"oooh sir, goodnight sir"

Arrive in my room to a non working telly, but I decline to ring reception in case John Inman doubles as a handyman. Woken at 7.30am by the vacuum cleaner outside, and now about to repare for the day ahead

Fortunately, only a short journey today to the casino. Mr Inman will be disappointed tonight when he asks me.

Anyway yesterday I remarked to myself that it was primarily an old skool field. Messrs Wernick, Sunar and the like near the head of affairs.

Today I feel we are set to be watching the kidz. Expecting a far younger field, and I have been brushing up on the lingo in preparation

This involves NEVER using the term back raise ever again.

We'll be setting up from 1.30pm, please join us then
