I am strugling diet wise atm but i am gyming 4 times a week. Need to sort it out and prepare/plan meals more in advance! Not enough hours in the day for me atm!!

i agree my diet has changed so much in last six weeks for a small example at the home game i attend tonight i used to have a Chinese now OMG i will take a banana

I haven't read your thread for a while and I was fairly surprised to see you weight 24st.

I'm gonna be blunt mate, when you are 24 stone, its easy to loose weight! Sorry if that sounds harsh but it is.

Have you ever read any kind of diet/nutrition books? Do you know much about food, how it affects your body etc etc.

Like I say, I'm gonna be blunt, you need to make this a priority in your life. I mean ffs you live at home. Surely your mum cooks for you? Surely you can control that to a degree?

As for maccy ducks - the food is dog shit. You could eat better out of bins. Just watch the film super size me, and if you keep eating it you are a clown.

If you want my recommendations then I would say either buy the Paul McKenna "i can make you thin"  or find out about low carb/low GI eating (Atkins/south beach etc) For people who have sedantry life styles these are good. You can then introduce exercise once you start your weight loss.

Im saying it cause I like you kidda! Im hardly the slimmest in the world but you really need to focus on this if you are going to make it work

Guy thanx for ur post!

I'm already doing 5ks on the treadmill an feeling good!

Just need to sort an eating plan out. Southbeach diet etc I think would work wonders for me coupled with my gym sessions and the weight should drop of In no time!! Just need to get my head on it mate cos that's all it boils down to!!

An 'eating plan' is an excuse. Its another reason to delay and justify not eating well.

Cut out bad stuff, eat good stuff. Less carbs. There's your plan.

All i would say is there is no way you could run alot on a low carb diet - if you could you would be 12st in a month - just not gonna happen.

If teh running is really going well then keep it up and read paul mckenna - you need to understand the psychology of food and also the sugar cycle - learn that and you can control cravings

girgs, at that weight you can eat nearly 3.5k calories a day and not get heavier. that's a lot of food, it should be really difficult for you to put on weight if you're paying any attention at all to your diet so you're doing something very wrong

it'll be a lot harder once you've dropped some weight and a bit of yoyoing is to be expected but right now it should be easy

come on girdy, you can't tell me that you don't have any idea what is and isnt good for you.

If you did something like this you would lose 4lbs a week.

Breakfast - Cereal (nothing with sugar/chocolate - things like Shreddies, weetabix, bran flakes, or even cornflakes) with semi skimmed milk.

Lunch - Sandwich without loads of mayo.  I like beef but you can have anything in there as long as you use marg not an inch of butter

Tea - Meat and two veg.

Snacks - why not get some of them breakfast bars, ones with loads of oats and shit in them.  they arent as nice as a mars bar but they dont taste too bad.  Eat some fruit, apples or grapes or something.
