Defo harsh, but i'm not too concerned tbh. I think it would motivate the players more and bring us together as a team. Could be a  good thing.....

The point is they have repeatedly done this before, they thought they could get away with it and it seems they have not! Kenyon is a right cock.

Was thinking that myself.  You have enough depth in the squad to get through the ban (probably better than any other club).

If anybody is confused about this transfer deadline thing I can tell you all about it.

I have a full working knowledge.

They have the squad, no doubt.  I did perhaps think'd they'd go and buy in Jan when they'll miss Drogba/Kalou/Essien/Mikel for at least a month though...

The absurd thing imo is, the player has been fined £750k and Spanish clubs get fined £20k for racial taunting. A bit disproportionate imo.

Roma got a similar punishment recently over the Mexes (?) transfer.  They got it reduced to one transfer window on appeal.

It won't make the slightest difference especially this season.

Was wondering why they were extending so many contracts, makes sense now.

If they are guilty of this then its a good punishment imo. Fines mean nothing to the likes of Chelsea so FIFA/UEFA need to get creative and find something that hurts.

Not sure about it being a motivational tool for the players, they know now that the club can't bring in anyone to replace for the next 18 months so less competition.

when your already the best you dont need to get better  Wink

just like the eduardo diving punishment its an absolute joke and is just fifa victimising english teams as the focus of there clampdown on what has been going on for years in football.

not a problem in my eyes but be interesting to see how consistent fifa are in the future when both  occur again.

I Hope Drogba is getting comfortable, or sturridge is bloody amazing for us.

Hopefully they do a full investigation into all the clubs now and transfer deadline day will consist of Burnley and Stoke talking business! This is FIFA making there move to stop English clubs domination over europe! Thank god for Chelsea's youth acadamy  Sad

I'm not a Chelsea fan but this ban is an absolute outrage, how many other teams are going unpunished for similar offences or worse. Token gesture fine would have been more appropriate, would expect Chelsea to challenge this ruling successfully. This may work for them in a way too though as could be used as a motivating factor.

So how many windows will Man U, Real Madrid, Man City, and many others be banned for?

This.

Unfortunately no G14 club will ever be banned like this. Utd and Real are pissing themselves.
