I did wonder wot happended to u Phil. After the initial nod across the room when u arrived, I came to look for u in the break but u'd scarpered!
I may try and do a "you" tonight. Pop up to your new favourite venue for the £200 satellite, and then back to the donkament fight-fest at the old place to clean up any remaining chips in play.

Usual quality last night some of it LOL....

2 young guys who were friends at the other end of the table would limp call pretty much any raise..eg limp utg + 1 for 100.. someone raises to 600 !  call Lol... his hand at showdown 10 7 os..  LOL gg Wp...

That is of course until i standard raise with aces and every body folds FFS inc limp call boy who is in the BB and folds with money invested...sigh FML  later 2 limper's and limp boy raises i have him and the 2 limper's well covered and i move them in with JJ ... i know limp boys calling but i need to clear the decks with JJ... he duly calls his stack off with Q 10 os... nice... flop Q Q 8.... now that's called the deck taking the piss... finally got the measure of them and was raping them with positional raises and Cbets when they limp called missed..so com...

Then 2 shorties get moved to my right left one who is Gibraltar..time to pillage with abandon... folded to me OTB ..9 5 os seems a reasonable starting hand...200-400.. i make it 2k to go they have about 2.5k each..Gibraltar follows orders..bb makes a stand with q10 ... my fav hand at the mo... and holds up despite me turning an up and downer...next hand folded to me ..i have AK..and one of my limp call boys in the BB..beautiful setup..Ive just shown 9 5 os ... i make it the same 2k.. he calls lol.....flop is 10 J J..he checks....i decide to peel the free turn as i have noticed he likes to call with a 10 in his hand... the turns a blank and he leads which doesn't make a lot of sense... i call looking to move in on the river if he checks a blank... the river obliges and he moves in....lol... i fold and ask what hand he can call a 5 x raise op that contains a 10... he insists he had pocket 10's for the flopped boat...in the end with the betting pattern and my luck i believe him....

Then same limp call boy limps utg folded to me otb...its pointless raising without a monster as he will call anyway.. i have 10 5 and limp...my cards here are totally irrelevant and if one of the short blinds wants to move then i'll just throw it away.. i have already limped along with LCall and took it away on the flop 3x and its a play that seems effective..he has to hit to continue and I will just continue to gorge on his chips as long as he wants...the blinds come along and we see a flop of 4 6 7 rainbow..not bad for 10 5...sb checks.. bb bets ...LCall folds...i give the BB some kind of pair and call behind..sb then moves in and after a dwell bb moves in as well....LOL... Oh how do i get myself into these situations.. I get the dealer to pull the pot in and give the highest count ...3900 to call from my 8K remaining..i count the pot 14.5K !!!!  Oh FFS....up and down on a rainbow board with an over that may be good..... i want to fold.. i really do..but its impossible to pass up that much money... I call... sb has q 5 bb a7..turns an ace to blow my over out of the water and the rivers a blank..i lose the side pot to Q high...just once god let me bink and scoop ..just once thats all i ask...

I tilt off my last 8BB to Ray who does work for my company who limps early for 400 with 77 and i move in for  3k total with the power house of 9 4 sooooted...i give him the speech i know his tight and his early limp must mean he has a monster...the reverse psychology is wasted and he calls...and unlike the good players i of course miss wide....so there we go  came about 15th played ok but didnt have that little bit of luck required to dodge all the ropey play...

2 tights in the blinds.. with 2.5k each standard S&G scenario pressure for their stack that they wont usually call off light cos of their tightness although they only have 6bb..they usually want in first... cant limp not gonna raise and fold so may as well raise for their stack..avg live tighty scared of calling their stack no matter their M..

OK... I know I said I wasn't playing Wednesday's any more, but seeing as a few associates think I'm a big woman I'm going to act like one and therefore invoke the right to change my mind for no logical reason....

Actually I really wasn't going to go but I needed to go and join the Circus casino in order to play the ME on Saturday and I decided to buy in at the same time just in case it sold out... so as I was in the area I might as well rock up for the Donkfest .

Of course exactly 3.6 minutes after sitting down I was regretting my choice of not going to the Circus first and playing the Satellite...

i squeezed my ample frame ( its getting that way as Celtic keeps letting me buy Kebab dinners on the way home )into seat 10 next to a skinny young Chinese guy whose English was so pigeon that when he asked me for some blue chips in change I though he was asking me for some boots !!( it got awkward after i asked him for the third time to repeat his request ) and ...George Kiss..who despite having space for one and a half normal people.. moaned continuously that he didn't have enough room..this from a man with the body of an anorexic Pygmy... I also found myself OP to at it Bradley ( never a good thing )

I sat out the first orbit and a half...mainly to the fact that the dealer kept giving me cards containing a 2 and an eight gapper partner... and observed my table mates..Basically we had the usual tight weak..limpy mob and my only real concern was the aforementioned Geordie thief....

Seat 5 was our most interesting/annoying person at the table... guy in his 50's wearing a baseball cap and reminding me of Dan Harrington just not as good looking..
He had a gregarious nature but one of those type of gregarious natures that has my mind wandering of how to dispose of his body after I've brutally murdered him.

He had a comment and an opinion on every hand, which is always an amusing situation in any walk of life when someone deems to comment with authority on a subject they obviously know nothing about.He also  sported a Dolce Bling watch that would almost compete with my Marc Ecko ( Serious Bling for a small sting ) which on him,pasty and ageing, looked ridiculous.

He compounded his stupidity with not 1 but 2 comments worthy of the buyin alone...the first was after seeing Bradders raise a limped pot in position and then getting to showdown and winning a nice pot with a turned flush holding the 3 8 of Hearts..he came out with the immortal line...' Wow and I had you down as the tightest player at the table' .......

LOL.. I swear Bradley almost blushed.He glanced at me and grinned as he found me biting the table  in a desperate attempt to stifle my laughing...

Then a few moments later whilst chatting to Mr Rupin he announced that this was his first time on a new Wednesday and it was great to play a comp with so many chips and a great blind structure.... What does this guy usually play 500 chip super turbo S&G's....?

Anyway whatever he was good value and there were multiple amused glances between myself and Bradders as he continued to open his mouth and plunge two footed into the abyss...

As for my own play..wasn't great i limp called a couple of Bradders big opening raises OP with marginals  10 J suited & AQ o/s... At the break he enquired why I was playing such a weak game,and basically it was a combination of his positional opening range (which despite his protests ) is wider than the Thames..and a little pot control..early doors low blinds and lots of chips I'd like to see a flop with him...and either hit a good one or revise on his flop action..

The 10 J clubs hand came J high and i checked it to him looking to click raise...to my astonishment Bradders checked it back... you could see in his eyes he was wary of me..he knows i don't need to be wearing my fur hat for this coup to be dangerous..the turn was an ace bringing 2 clubs..i checked again looking for an incoming rep and looking to CR again....for the first time since Noah took up ship building Bradders checked both flop and turn...this was weird.... the river brought the flush...and i decided to go for a biggish bet trying to make it look like a steal in the face of Bradders apathy, I knew he couldn't put me on the back door flush and he would call with a wideish range as he knows I'm more than capable of the nick with no hand...I bet the pot and got insta called by AK... I was a little surprised at his strength but i liked his play tbh as it was a great check on the turn to snap off a bluff steal attempt on the river...NH sir Unlucky..

I trundled on nicely getting up to 15k from 10k without really doing much and all was fine apart from the constant mi thering from a certain Mr Kiss...He disappeared from the scene for quite some time and like the ghost of Xmas misery has returned to haunt us once more, he is I'm afraid quite a horrible little man and i cannot believe after all these years no one has done for him...it just tilts me having that wizened crone like face any where near me...

Edging towards the break i pick up AQ utg and decide to give it 3.5 X raise..  tightish Asian guy in the middle repops me to just over a min raise..i have about 13k he has about 4.5..and really i should either click shove or fold here....i of course choose the worst play and just call OP to a re raise....its a horrible play and tbh i don't know why i did this...George X and Mr know it all combo probably damaged my poker senses maybe... anyway we see a flop of A K 9 and I slip it to him looking to reshove any bet..if his got AK then good luck to him...he checks behind..the turns a blank and i put him in and find his hit a set of 9's on me....hey ho...i deserved that for my terrible call.

We come back from the break and a few hands in I have 7k at 150-300... theres a limp and very tight player OTB makes it 1100....now i say he was tight because he had hardly played any hands but one he did play was AJ to a re raise from me early doors...so it didn't necessarily mean a huge huge hand...I find AK in the BB...

Now tbh with this hand in this comp and around 20BB I can't see any other move but shove....I'm op and calling would just be as bad as the earlier AQ hand...so in it goes and he calls me with QQ...OK race it is....now my record in races in recent times is not good...I know we all say that...but it really is..if i was a racehorse my owner would have sold me to Pedigree Chum.. So as the saying goes I miss wider than a fat birds arse... and I'm felted to under 1k...the story after that is painfully short and involves a table break and a blind shove utg...which received a min raise followed by a 20k shove...LOL... i felt i was in great shape...entertainment value was revealing my hand one card at a time after the river in a bid to outdraw  Q Q... alas my 5 2 os fell just shy with no pair...

So off i toddled to join up at the circus and buy in for the ME...although my brain was telling me id be better off posting the money through the letterbox and running away... At least that would be exciting rather than play 6 hours of bad poker...Confidence is such a wonderful mistress...

Met the eponymous Mr 'Rone' the cardroom manager,nice chap very affable and wandered into the time warp that is the Circus Casino....Wow it was like stepping through the wardrobe and finding the old Luton Grosvenor in situ... small and huddled and not very busy.... but mucho Kudos to them in putting in good effort for this weekends festivities... Found tighty and Gavin Kan AKA Pizzled playing a small Sat and both down to the final 9 with 2 seats available...hope u brought it home guys...
