Not considered it TBH mate.
Don't really want to get crazy with all that stuff. Will give Hydroxycut a shot and see how it goes (will let you know if I get any nice side-effects etc). Shouldn't really need to keep taking it (hopefully) if I keep eating right and excercising properly.
One nice side effect is that you'll be going for a piss 3 times as much as normal.
Hope they work out for you mate. Keep us informed.
Thanks for letting me know that in advance...Jesus, didn't even know I had that much fluid in me.

I've had a really tough training week thus far.
I trained chest on Monday and decided to mix things up a bit by throwing in some incline bench press to start with.
The plan was just to go light to warm up ready to smash the dumbells but I ended up feeling strong and deciding to go much heavier than I should've.
I managed to get a good last set out with 90kg which I was really pleased with to say I haven't lifted a barbell for about 6 months.
Unfortunately this left me a bit fatigued for dumbells so I couldn't do anything special.
I still did 3 sets of 45s but only 5, 5 and 4 reps. I won't record this as it was ruined by the 'warm up'. I'll just class it as a week off.
Tuesday night I couldn't train because I had to drive to Southampton ready for a course on Wednesday.
If anybody's ever considering a night out in Southampton don't make it on a Tuesday. Tuesday is student night and they just point blank refused entry to any non students even if the bar was empty. Ridiculous but never mind.
Wednesday I couldn't train because I was in Southampton.
Today I couldn't train at my regular time because I had to fetch Ronnie from his kennels straight from work.
Unfortunately for the prop with Cos I have to train 4 times per week. I'm out for Stu's birthday on Saturday night which means Sunday is a no go meaning I needed a late session tonight so I can get tomorrow and Saturday in to complete my week.
So all in all it's been less than perfect but at least I'll get 4 decent sessions in at the end of it.

I've been following a bit of Boldie training and hitting my abs really hard for the last 4 weeks or so.
I'm really noticing a difference and am now doing abs at the start of every session.
I'd go through my full session but I don't know what everything's called so it's a bit difficult.
It's basically a combo of sit ups, medicine ball work, plank type excercises and some stuff on one of those big squidgy balls.
A few things are combos of the above such as planks with feet on the squidgy ball and hands balanced on the medicine ball. This is actually the toughest one I do and it's something I adapted from an old BJJ warm up we used to do.
Basically your feet are on the squidgy ball and you go in to a press up position with hands on the medicine ball. You then roll the medicine ball forward by going hand over hand to stretch yourself out as far as you can. It's an absolute killer!!
Give it a go Boldie. You'll love it!!
If it's too tough at first just use the medicine ball, that's plenty tough enough on it's own.

Yeah, I heard about something similar...sounds absolutely brutal.
Sigh, will give it a bash now that you mentioned it though.

Another tough chest day today.
I felt quite a few shoulder twinges during my first 2 sets so dropped down to 40s then skipped my last set.
I think I might have a few weeks off the dumbell pressing and perhaps do some flat or incline bench.
The break can't do any harm. Things can get stale after a while and I have to admit I wasn't loving it today. A change will do me good.
Other than that everything's pretty much spot on.
The abs work is going really well as is pretty much everything else. It's all getting a bit routine really but I'm enjoying it.

Well I was all up for winging it but my walking partner wasn't.
Unfortunately she's having a few personal problems at the moment and isn't going to be ready in time so I said not to worry we'll do it next year.
Hopefully it will be on again for next year when my intention once again is to do no training and just hope I'm alright.
Long way away but watch this space.

Had 2 weeks using the Hydroxycut now. It's fantastic stuff, highly recommend it. The only "side-effect" is that you piss a tremendous amount....then again, I drink a fair amount of water so that might have something to do with it.
I take 2 of them before lunch and 2 before dinner.
The appetite suppresant part of it really works and takes some getting used to. The first few days I almost had to remind myself to eat.
Amazingly there is no effect with regards to sleep etc. There is quite a bit of caffeine in them (200mg per pill) and the caffeine pills I used to take were 200mg as well but I only took 1 at a time with a max of 2 per day so this has effectively doubled.
I don't know if there would be any withdrawal effects from the caffeine part of them as I haven't missed any days yet but, for some reason, I don't think so.
On a proper high protein diet now, scrambled eggs (no milk and 2 yokes per 4 eggs) for lunch etc. and the fat is flying off. My chest has improved a lot, moobs/pecs are actually starting to flatten out nicely and the stomach is almost all gone. Should have my abs showing in a couple more weeks of this. (well before my holiday at the end of September)
Obv would only advise taking them with a proper diet and plenty excercise.
Thanks for the tip Matt, these things are the poodles peanuts.

Couldn't resist hitting the dumbells again today and I actually felt pleasantly strong.
I could've done more than I did but I cut each set down because I'm a bit nervous of my shoulders at the moment. Something's not quite right. I still did each set to failure but I did the reps very slowly which made them a lot harder but also far more controlled.
I won't be really blasting anything now until I've had some physio and a bit of a rest.
The physio will probably be next week and the rest starts 2 weeks on Thursday I think when me and Hopkin head off to Malia for a week of absolute carnage.
Thanks to me being so busy at work recently it's been quite a while since me and Stu have had a proper night out so Malia should be a good chance to catch up with some serious drinking.

I noticed on Cos' thread that he's back at the gym now after a little lay off.
I can honestly say I was gutted when he told me he'd lost our prop. The whole idea was for neither of us to win because we both managed to do the full year. Unfortunately because of his injury problems it wasn't to be.
I gave him the time off when he was injured (he returned the favour for me as well) but sadly once he recovered he was unable to get back in the swing of it.
I know exactly how this feels because it's how I got out of the training habit in the first place.
I'm really pleased that he's trying to get back on it but I also know how hard it's going to be without the motivation that he had previously of our prop.
As long as he gets through the first 3 weeks or so then he's sorted so fingers crossed for him.
