It was FAR worse. I think I had 12 x BB, about to become 10 x BB.
I am truly ashamed of myself. I could have sat there for 6 or 7 more Orbits, easily.

Play of the night.
Sicilian gets mixed up pre-flop with a random, there is about 5k in the Pot.
Flop comes down
Mr Random insta-moves in on that Flop for 58,000.
Sicilian folds, Random proudly flips
Beautifully played, Sir.

6th place saver points for me last night.
Even funnier, said random finds himself in the final 3 with Andy Lyew and Matt Buckingham. Andy has c 220,000 of the 380,000 chips in play and the other 2 have c 80,000 each.
Random is keen to deal (he was keen to deal when 4 handed but Matt wisely said no because the 4th player was a short stack). Random proposed that he and Matt split 2nd and 3rd prize money evenly. To my surprise, after a bit of thought Matt eventually agreed.
Nobody suggested Andy take anything other than 1st place money and Andy kept very quiet!
Well played sir!

Mr Random also pulled a most spectacular but not very subtle Moody in the Final.
After having a standard opening Bet of 12 x BB all evening, he makes to limp, but "mistakenly" puts in slightly less than a Min Raise. When informed it must go as a Raise, he looks hurt, & quickly says "I meant to call". He grudgingly puts the extra chips in, & attracts 3 curious callers. All of whom are behind to his K-K, which setted on the Flop.

Another Sunday, another £5 rebuy in the bag for G-Rodge, who took care of Rab Bain and a gay-shirted D'Artagnan among others. Just one player shy of bonus points unf but good enough to ease into second.
Elsewhere, in the mainy...
Winner was girating Andy Liew, who somehow danced his way into taking first-place money in a three-way chop. Dude has all the moves. Slick.
Second was Golfpro, who has Nirvana's dealing skills but more pokez ability. Good move playing it after all, well done.
Third was David Shamash, aka random donk. Brother of Yakshamashshamash Shamash, aka Shooly. Honestly never could have believed Shooly would be the talented one in his family. Amazing!
Never forget a Shooly hand I saw a few months ago. Blinds were 400-800, two limpers and Shooly tries to go all in for about 30k but only throws in a single 1000 chip before saying the magic words. So goes as a call obv.
Forty-year heater then min-raises out of the big blind. The two limpers both fold. Shooly insta...folds!
Fourth was Mark Wallis, greyhound trainer extraordinaire and friend of spec-less Handsome Paul.
Fifth was another random donk, wearing a shirt with a collar and no glitter or spangles. Powers lessened as a result (6pts).
Sixth was Lucky, who's easing away from the relegation donks (5pts).
Time for a quick round of guess that player!
HAND ONE
Blinds are 50-100. Four go to the flop. Not much action until they get to the river. Board now reads A J 10 4 Q. Bad player who spends his days decorating a cottage in Tring bets 600. Mystery player raises to 1600 but eventually gets out of the way as the other two stacks fly in.
"Two pair?" I ask the mystery player. "No, a set of fours. I needed to find out where I was," comes the reply.
HAND TWO
Blinds are 50-100. I make it 325. Cut-off and button both call. Mystery player raises to...3450 in the BB. I have QQ and decide he wouldn't do this with AA, so it's either AK, KK or JJ. Meh, beating two of those three. So shove for 12k total. Mystery player doesn't want to call but does with AK. King in the door.
Name that player!
