I like Farneys Cookie, think his in prime form, had a good trail over 540 and 25/1 is a good price, I'd say b365 and sky have a closer price.

Some night. Wild fortune with Buoy Johnny and then wild scenes with Star Mirren Sky!
Hopefully work is quite after the football tomorrow so I can do a bit more on the GJ.

Thanks, 1/3 on the night, but the 1 was a delightful price so well happy!
You backed Star Mirren Sky?

He trialled over 380 and the 740 trip. 380 especially good and will no doubt come on from a decent enough trial over the 740, an interesting runner for sure which I overlooked at first glance, i'll add to my antepost.
I don't really like much at the head of the market - pricewise I mean, not talent wise - I think they are all there or thereabouts, if not a little short. Decided to just have a look for a few outsiders, for low stakes and interest.
They are (included Farneys Cookie now thanks to Omm) :
Farneys Cookie 25/1
Droopys Marian 33/1 - getting on now but showed loads of pace in the trial stakes last week and stays the trip.
Woodmancote Bert 50/1 - Winner of trial stakes round here last week picking up Fivestar Clipper & strong runs over a testing 695m at Hove on his card too.
Aero Flamingo 100/1 - Trial line 7th Feb very good, drawn with Roxholme dream but has early pace of her own.
Zulu Baran 100/1 - Strong runner over WImbledon 687m trip and has had two decent trials over this trip showing improvement in both.
Probably all be out come 10pm but only interest stakes, makes me laugh how the pricewise selection is smashed this morning - like people don't have their own minds to decide who they want to back!

Scotty called the race right but I think he forgot to put it up here as he had mention it to me in the morning after I asked about High Falcon (sometimes things just get forgotten) great that we are putting a few up again on a Friday night, I usually play poker life on Fridays so it's pretty difficult to post while pretending I'm concentrating but hopefully we can carry on trying to find a few winners.
I like your ante post book, some interesting picks (I'll certainly put on a couple of quid for interests. I quite liked the 40/1 on Black Francis, got to admit I put the bet on when it had a couple of fantastic runs and pre trailing so it was a bit of a punt as I'm not sure it's still on the boil but it's only a few quid for an interest. It's obvious that Roxholme Dream oozes talent and is the best dog in the race but backing it at the current price is madness, by all means Crayford is a shorter track to the first corner(?) meaning potential for more trouble at the bend? Anyway should be great no matter what. Scotty has been promising to put up a few and he usually finds one at a decent price that goes ver close.
Matty are u in the RomfordFA Cup on Twitter, I didn't do this one but will get in the next, I know scotty is through after SMS won his match bet. Well done mate, if u get in the final I'm having a bet on you as Sky put up match get prices!!!

Obviously no need to be going mad in the first round tonight but there seems to be a few nice prices. Anyone fancy anything? Fred has Farneys Cookie at 9/2 which is a standout price but then again none of the heats look easy, maybe it's just a watching brief if no one strongly fancies anything.
The race that has most interested me is the Marathon, I a bit disappointed that they have chosen not to run the extreme distance of over 1000 meters which I think was the plan, that being said 850 is still a slog and ve been keeping an eye on Supreme Rossie whom it seems the further the better (which is why I think the over 1000 meters would have been its race) no so sure the 5/1 holds any value but will keep an eye on it and if a decent price pops up I may have an interest. Any thoughts Matty/Scott?

Just had another look and FC is 11/2 not 9/2, as i said none are these are easy but I think there is enough in 11/2 for it to be a bet for me. Good luck if u have a play.

Didn't get to watch the racing last night, hopefully gonna catch up with it this morning, apart from Newinn Echo there didn't seem to be any major upsets, Farneys Cookie is out unfortunately, I'm actually quite disappointed with this one, it's not about the money but more the expectation, it ran really well in trails and obviously I don't know what happens in the race yet but I was quite hopeful for it. Looks like Roxholme will probably be odds on now and I doubt here will be any mistakes with the pricing from here onwards.
I'm leaving the Henlow Gold Cup as I really do not like the track at all, far to many hare failures lately and although it's suppose to have been fixed I don't think I trust it until it hasn't happened for at least a month. That being said Coolavanny Gooch runs against Evanta Fantasy there tonight and although the 7/4 available is rubbish it s a dog I have been following so will watch with great interest.

Just watched the heats from last night and all the winners were quite impressive, really liked the run that Chicago done and a dog a usually back s I'm a bit disappointed I didn't back it at 16/1, is be really surprised if it's more than 5/1 in the re opened market. It all nearly doesn't matter anyway because RD destroyed the heat and was going away still in the home straight, it will take an accident for her not to win outright. Farneys Cookie was second until the last bend and then died a death, obviously didn't last home well enough coming fourth.

What made you think it would ever be any shorter than it was ante post when the short priced good thing has sailed through in style omm? I didn't see the races last night but it would have had to have broke the track record for it to be a 5/1 poke.
