Just a reminder of a greyhound race which never gets old - the 2006 derby semi-final: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gR_c3jO30Ew

Bubbly Roger looks a good thing in the 7:03 Romford @ 6/4. Obviously got the dream draw being the only unseeded runner but by the looks of it these are all genuine mid/wide runners which should make it even more of a solo. Should have a couple of lengths on these too (one or two can compete on the clock off the front). Fancy it'll go off evens or smidge odds on. 1-2 forecast. 6/4-4/1.

No joy, went off 10/11 but I didn't see race to comment.

I've just been having a look at The Greyhound Derby pricelist for this year's event at Nottingham: https://www.nottinghamdogs.com/greyhoundderby.aspx?i=1590I see it's £25 for general admission for the final - quite a different approach from last year at Towcester when it was free.

After a drunken spin last week when at Romford where somehow we ended up with a 100/1 4-fold winner but drank more than that at the bar, looking to follow up with one of interest tonight.
8:06 - T6 Bolshoi Blast 8/1
There's a good chance that the fave is too short at odds on and also a chance it comes together with T2 out the traps. Blast is very well drawn with sleeper indoor and has the potential to have the run of the race. A 24:40 off the front might be good enough in this company.
Anyone else punting?

It wasn't free for semis and final night. £20 each night and you had to pre book online/phone you couldn't turn up on the night and pay to enter in cash. Was free up in the early rounds just to correct this incorrect statement ralph. It was £15 the first year i think if you bought in advance.

Looks a poor romford card tonight (4 graded and a maiden heats of a monkey comp). Haven't looked at the card yet but will be donating on the machine so wish you well Scotty. Will probably lay the jolly in your race.

Think the second fav in your race scotty is a solid place lay around evens which it should be. It comes out of 3 and needs the rails and is slow away. 3.85s generally. The fav does 3.75s generally and i can't see how the 3 can possibly get a run in this make up even with its fast times on its card. Yours is a sole wide and will need a biit of trouble to score but it is very well drawn. Gl
