it's names in hats time this friday so who do we want? if we can avoid france and poortugal we should walk the group, unfortunately european nations can be drawn against each other unlike other continents. even if we get one of those 2 it should be easy enough though

Pot one: South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Argentina, England

Pot two: Australia, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Honduras, Mexico, U.S., New Zealand

Pot three: Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria

Pot four: Denmark, France, Greece, Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Switzerland

pretty com that fifa are still making the rules up as they go along. they didn't tell anyone what system they were going to use for seedings until they announced them, if they'd used the same as last time france would've been top seeds instead of the dutch but they decided to change the rules and screw the french over just a little bit

For me, the ideal draw would be New Zealand, Algeria, Switzerland
Worst would be USA, Ivory Coast, Portugal

I reckon we will get Mexico, Cameroon and Denmark

I'm mainly hoping we're in a different side of the draw than Spain and Brazil.

Will they not be ranked 1 & 2, thus on different sides?

Doesn't work like that.

South Africa will be in Group A, the others are all random draw.

with chile, uruguay and paraguay not able to be drawn in a group with brazil or argentina that means there are 6 groups available for the 3 of them

unless my brain's melted that makes us even money to draw one of them as they're all in the same pot

the odds being offered for england to draw each of them individually is 11/2 atm. surely that's priced up wrong? aren't we getting better than evens on an even money shot if we back all 3 or is my maths wrong somewhere?

Isn't it 2/1 to draw 1 of them?  6 into 3?

So 11/2 is about what the bookies charge for a true 6/1 shot?

But am equally confused and probably even more wrong
