Arses Gatso - I've spotted the catch. Yes, Brazil and Argentina can't get another South American team, but South Africa are one of the top seeds and they have to get one of them - they're not allowed an African team. So whilst two of the non-South American teams will go to Brazil and Argentina, one of the South American teams will go to South Africa. |

They wouldn't cancel the bets as it wouldn't have been a palpable error (cashier writing down wrong odds or somesuch). It's just like any other market when the bookies price up a horse wrong - they'd just have cut the odds afterwards but the bet would have stood.
I'll see now if I can be bothered doing the maths to see how much £EV I just gave Hills.
Oh, and I blame Gatso, obv.
