I'm still on a high after recently watching the Wire. Amazing characters and probably the thing people don't talk about much is that it is often unbelievably funny.

I heard someone say that it is the sort of show that should be watched in batches of three episodes in a row, rather than just one at a time. I think that makes sense when you think of the depth and complexity of it.

absolutely, watching a whole season in 1 go gets you more nuances than you'll ever get watching 1 hour with a week break inbetween etc. us poker players are lucky like that, I started watching Boardwalk Empire last week and watched 9 episodes in the first two days, allowed me to really get into it and get to know who and what is going on.

Watched and enjoyed both Lucan and the first episode of The Great Train Robbery last few days.  Both pretty enjoyable I thought.
