Football wouldn't be football if we didnt have situations like this, this is why we love the game and why its so incred.
why do people(English fans especially after Lampards Goal) keep banging on about changing the game to introduce goal line technology then? Thats a completely different matter. Camel was talking about just giving goals away. Goalline technology would take about 5 seconds to work out if it was a goal or not and wouldnt change the game in the slightest (in terms of slowing it down etc)

Originally goals didn't have nets. They only brought them in to stop disputes over whether the ball had gone in or not. Goal line technology is the same. It's not a rule change like Camel is asking for.

Is that goal credited then you go back and there could be an equalizer even though that already happened? What about if the ball doesnt go out of play then the attacking side score "again". Do they get 2 goals when you go back if its over the line? The referee cant just blow the whistle to check because it prevents the keeper from throwing it out and hitting the opponents on the counter.

clear yes, football would be so much more awesome 3 goals awarded if you score from outside the box, a bit like basketball and there should be a snitch that you can find for 15 goals 50% of the score should be determined by a phone vote

How is the Suarez case not as bad as the Henry case?
Ireland had the chance to clear the ball from the Henry cross.

France had the chance to win without cheating? I'm not sure if that makes it worse or better but that may be the arguement.

Ok, here's a hypothetical case.
Team A (let's call them Leeds for arguments sake) have a player break free and is racing towards goal.
The keeper from Team B (Let's say Man Utd) rushes out of his area to try and stop him.
The Leeds player chips the onrushing keeper beautifully and the ball is floating towards the net.
However, United have a sub warming up behind the goal (let's call him Gary Neville) and he runs onto the pitch and clears the ball before it hits the net.
Should this be ruled a goal?

I like this hypothetical question. No its not a goal... Would you disallow Sunderlands goal against Liverpool when Bent's shot was clearly going to be saved but then it hit the Beachball and went in? Outside interference and all?

if henry goes to the ref and admits he handled it then the goal is disallowed, instead he chose to deceive and we got an incorrect ruling because of his cheating. same as maradonna's hand of god and many others suarez had no intention to deceive anyone and the on field ruling was 100% correct and within the laws of the game

HUP HOLLAND HUP
Lugano hasn't made it for Uruguay so i'm surprised the Dutch have drifted a bit. Need Holland to win the lot so not backing them today but got a few small bets for fun. Van Persie 1st goal and Holland 2-0 Singles and the scorecast.

Uruguay are no mugs and I think it will be tight, but holland should squeeze it, therefore I'm on: Draw / Holland FT With a small saver on Holland in ET.
