But thats poker. The emotion is almost the adrenalin that keeps us going. Who doesnt feel effected by running bad? Its natural. Im not sure if I should be in a mental state where I dont feel bad about running horrendous. As you know Im really not that kind of guy, very emotional, very impulsive and very honest.
The main thing is the consequences a bad immediate mental state has.
Does it make me want to stop playing? No the opposite.
Does it make me play badly? No I dont think so
Doest it make me want to play less the next day? No, the opposite.
So feeling effected by running bad I dont actually see as THAT big of a deal, I assumed that everybody from Keith Johnson, to Phil Ivey, to Alex, to Ryan Spittles, to Flushy to everybody would feel really bad after running horrendous.
And just to reiterate this isnt a day that is going to happen 75 times a year, it will probably happen around 5 times. I will perhaps run bad 75 times in a year but this was the next degree of running bad.

I actually did hire a psychology coach in the middle of all of this to help prepare myself and prepare my mind for next year. We will probably do a session next week.

mbn to run so hot you know it's only 5 times. you only posted a couple of kk into aa and some spots where you know they have all the combos of hands that beat you ie the 67 vs k7 as it's limped, or bad runout with AA vs KK.... K coulda come first card obv, surprise that they have the AA is lol what with them never folding it at most points.
just seems all very unrealistic with regards to how you run and how you expect to run.
nothing wrong with being optimistic but having lots of good days where you both play well and 'dont run bad' and then one day of play well and 'run bad' and it's like HOW IS IT REAL. well you're playing a gambling game where day by day WR's decrease and variance increases so the concept of having worse and worse swings should be something you plan for not just plan for never running bad.
obv want the bitb to succeed hence I post.
steak tho

I said running bad 75 times a year is obviouslz standard but within those Id assume that 5 would be absolute stand out run bad days.
But wte, gonna go eat (steak obv)

PokerTracker have this thing where you can check how lucky or unlucky youve really been playing. Its quite refreshing to look at rather than misleading all in ev.

Generally you should be close to either side of normal and usually you run good in one or worse in another to compensate but for the last week Ive been 'very unlucky'' in 2 and ''unlucky' in one. Which is really rare and kind of compounds on all of the coolers. You want to run best at flopping sets as flopping 22 on 752 will give you a better chance of getting paid than having jq on aktxx.
In general I have been running 'unlucky' in flushes and sets and ''very lucky'' in terms of straights.

Will be interesting to look at these as time goes on.

also not sure if above post about trackers telling you how 'unlucky' you are....
like they understand dynamics/range on range equities or is this just a more complicated and still mainly useless stat?

I played almost 7.5k hands and played for around 8 hours. I was so close to getting even for the day then would get a ridiculous cooler. So, So demoralizing.

I don't really understand how these two can be linked. You say you kept nearly GETTING EVEN for the day, then getting coolered. Doesn't really sound like you even lost much? Just unsure how this can be an insanely runbad day? On those days i'm pretty sure you don't keep getting 'so close to getting even', you just knock it in, hard.

I wanna bet but don't know how it'll be policed, like how will I know you don't have someone playing on your account while you sleep? What if you get barred from stars?
It seems that they'll have to be a certain level of trust and 3k is too much for that.

lol well if you dont trust me then dont bet.
Id say im one of the most legit people to bet against. I wouldnt risk my account, the potential huge reward or my reputation with someone helping me an extra 5%. Ill almost always be playing the same games anyway.

Im open to idea though ofc.
Ill always be on Skype whenever I am playing. You can ask 5 times a year to go on skype on camera and share my screen. Sounds fair? We can escrow the money too.

I don't wanna tie up 3k for a year tbh mate. Lower the min imo, all your other bets are much smaller, make it 1k min no escrow? Trust you obv
