I will miss this a lot but thanks so much for writing here. You were an inspiration to me though I still have not quite discovered that “ah ha” moment myself. Must try harder.

Yes, a big loss for Blonde but all the best for 2015.

As a final post, can you tell us why you have moved away from tournaments to cash?

I just don't want to live that lifestyle anymore, which sounds a little strange when I'm now going for SNE, but I want to play when I want, for however long I want and to be able to spend more time on other things. The bar, the stable and hopefully 2-3 other projects I want to take up a lot of my time, if I manage to make SNE whilst doing all of that I won't be able to call myself lazy this time next year.

Ok well as you have probably noticed I've been very inactive recently. I've decided to close this blog, not officially or dramatically asking mods to close it but for the foreseeable future I won't be blogging.

I've changed my approach a lot recently. I'm now playing cash games again and working very hard there and looking forward to trying to get SNE this year. I will stop playing mTTs except on Sunday's.

I want to thank each and every one of you who has commented here over the last couple of years. There's times I haven't replied but I always read every reply and took all of the advice/comments as constructively as possible. I'm sure my success in 2014 wouldn't have been the same without this thread it was a place to get things off my chest and to let off some steam, I recently looked back over the read and there were a lot of very good memories.

I've been keeping a diary recently (with a real pen!!) and will continue to do so this year.

As the staking site progresses I may blog monthly or something there.

Once again thanks for all the support over the years and hope to see many of you at different live stops in the future.

All the best fella.

Echoing what many others have said, pretty sad to see this Diary end.

Been quite a journey, starting with tenner SNG's, & calling yourself "BITB" seemed a tad ambitious, not to say arrogant.

You went on to own cash games, then, inexplicably, switched codes to MTT's. Same result.

Just as unexpectedly (to us) you have now switched back to Cash.

I often wonder how your mind works. That's an observation, not a diss.

In all my time in poker, I've never seen a journey quite like it, & that's a fact.

This Diary will be much missed, by many.

Personally, don't see the point of "closing" the diary..

if you don't feel like posting, don't post.

Then maybe in 3 months there's something you REALLY want to say. Then post.

Glad you haven't asked for it to be deleted, and hope you change your mind sometime in the future.

Thanks very much. have been a lot less active on blonde as of late. Not really intentional though. New stable has been super intense so been really spending a lot of time there. Nice to have both Ray and Jon being so successful and if it wasn't for blonde we most likely wouldn't have started talking. Actually out down a lot of my success over the last 12 months to blonde. It was the community that I got attached to, addicted to and emmersed myself in.

Going very hard on the live poker scene. Will be playing a full EPT Malta schedule, a full EPT Monaco schedule. Playing SCOOP and then the day afterwards flying to Vegas for the whole series. Playing a full schedule and won't miss a WSOP event. Will be doing my very best to bring a shiny bracelet back to Budapest.

I'm around 30-50% to play the one drop this year which is obviously ridiculously exciting. They are saying the field will be around 250 runners. Last time there was 166 and first place got 4.7m. I really like the fact it's a freezeout and not a rebuy. Will be selling some of course and will do very small amounts for a sweat closer to the time.

Not setting any goals about GPI or pocket fives. I'm working around 12 hours a day 6 days a week on poker at the moment and the next 4 months will hopefully be very exciting. Will be trying my best to be more active on blonde.

Was about to invest in a new company here. A frozen yogurt shop, everything was great. Good business model, realistic yet ambitious profit estimations and they wanted €50,000 I was seeatingn it hard whether I should do it and if I should do it with a friend or whatever else. I'm not sure why but I always assumed that it was 50k for 50% of the company. Read back over everything and it was 50,000 for 15%. So that was a big waste of time but learned a lessons to very early identify the numbers to see if it's even plausible to think about.

May come back to England next week for UKPC, one of my best friends is moving to budapest though so have to see. If I'm back in England then UKPC sounds good and hope to see many there.
