Dealing With Intimidation....Advice Please.

I've never been a bully and I've never been bullied but I've seen both

sometime u can talk to them but u must always always get them on their ,,own and first be real nice and a bit wierd
Frighten the fuk out of them without going bonkers
Just say something like
look mate I was worse than u when I was 16
I cut my next doors cat into about 20 pieces and posted them through their letterbox
When I got caught they sent me to borstal where I got raped I stabbed the kid in the eye with
A pair of siccsors and the put me on 23 hour lock up for 8 weeks
But here's the turning point

You then say when they let me out I went all good for a few years till I met my missus then I just went back to my old ways for about 2 years
But I'm alright now and to be honest mate that's why I don't want any shit now
You understand don't you mate??

He will freeze and shit himself and be all nice and calm
And weird looking I swear if it don't work well I know 100%
It works
Word soon gets around not to go near you,, u could flip but you know what u want them to say about u after they tell their mates how crazy u are??
You know what he's alright actually he's a top bloke

Is awesome plan right enough but I think 1 in 100 people would be able to pull it off and you happen to be one of them.

I forgot to add if you see them in a gang of 4 or 5 I done this years ago outside a shop
Front em right up say something like hey guys who's the hardest out of all you 1 always says me why
Say something like I tell u what here's a bet for you but I only want to do this with the toughest one it's ok its no fighting or shit
Right I bet u I can hold my breath 4 times longer than you
They always say go on then u say if I lose I will give u something u want they always say what what say no u want the bet they take it
Do all this jokingly they will lol

Go in the shop and buy him a pack of gags with your money
I promise u everytime u see any one of them kids they will remember you and say alright mate
They are on your side for a pack of gags you get no headaches
U never get your car touched just try and reason with them make em lol
Most of the time there just bored with fall to do
They will respect coz u made an effort to have a fuk about with them it works

There are kids up my mothers when they were 10-15 I used to wind them up throwing them money letting them to pile PBS all trying to get it a fivers worth of 50ps
Now there 16-18 and crackers and dangerous they all rem me and all allways nice giving me the nod of respect etc
If they ask me to get rags for them in the shop I do
Coz they will get them anyway
My mum and gets no bother and I know all these kids know where my parents live and no one knocks there door fooling around etc

Unfortunately you have to be a burly bloke or have a crazy mad look in ur eye (with a facial scar preferably) to pull this stuff off... but all good advice :-)

On a more serious note.

Matt, I think the best you can do is just ignore it if you are planning to move away anyway, no need to fuel the fire. If you couldnt move house it would be a different story and you would have to do something.
Just bite ur tongue and be thankful that you are in a situation that you CAN move away and it will all be a distant memory soon.

PS planning some kind of revenge after you have moved will help

I used to live in Singapore.  The last case of a kid spray painting a car happened in 1996.  

Any guesses how many kids have spray painted a car in Singapore since then?

I'm starting to think am I bit weird coz I swear on the holy bible all what I've said is true
And to be very very honest
I've played it down a bit lol

I used to get the kids in the street fighting each other for tenners
Get them doing running races with their laces tied together etc
Once I rem getting about 10 of them doing a piggy back race around the wreck park about 2 miles for
A bottle vodka
I also remember showing them £1 coins then throwing pennies as far as I could onto the grass on the park sleight of hand chit
It must all stem back to when I was 15 when I had the fruit stall in Cardiff town centre
Fuk me we used to get the winos doing all sorts for a quid
Who could dent the pole of a no entry sign with their heads impossible but they used to try.... Lol
We used to wrap winos up in big tv boxes in town and just watch passers looking at the trying to get out of the boxes
A bad one was we would get 2 winos buy 2 bottles of cheap whisky and make them race drinking the whole bottle in one go
Fuk the list could go on and on

Our uncle mike used to make us go and ko all the piss heads on rugby international days when the would fuk about throwing the fruit around we were about 14-15 at the time ko out real men aged 25-40 ish but they were pissed
Our uncle mike was a nutter
They tried to get him off the streets with one of his hot dog vans one of the first ones
The council picked him up in a crane as he wouldn't get out lol

what would I have done?  Well if this guy was as bad as you say, and presuming all these cases of criminal damage etc had been reported to the police I'd have made a nuisance of myself with them until they did their job properly.

completely beside the point - if I was a 6ft 5 20 stone brick shithouse of a guy my answer would be the same.  We live in a civilised country with a justice system where people are employed to keep law and order.  If people are unhappy, for whatever reason, with the job police are doing in their local area, taking the law into their own hands isn't the way to fix things - use your passion and energy to badger the police, start a campaign, whatever.  Thugs that kick a kid's head in coz he's a bad apple are no better than the perpetrators of the original crime imo, and long term it's only going to lead to more problems when people think doing this stuff is the norm.  Further, it might drive the problem off your own doorstep (as in sofa's case) and if that's all your bothered about, then wd, you won, but it only drives the problem elsewhere.

Pretty clear I'm in a minority from the replies on this thread though.
