I think it's ok to take the law into your own hands over some things. Say if somebody hurt my mrs I would readily bite their nose off. But that's if somebody hurt my mrs. Some kid wrecking a snowman doesn't seem serious enough to get anxious about. You say your daughter was upset but in reality she would be more upset to know her dad was cracking skulls with a block of wood because a troublesome teenager threw some snowballs at the house. I don't think the violent option earns much respect from anyone including your family over such a trivial matter. In fact people who say they would go ape over the snowman scandal are simply keyboard warriors. I think you win the day if you rise above the loss of the snowman.
Anyway I don't know why your daughter is upset. Who told her the snowman was wrecked? I would have told her the snowman just bowled off somewhere, prob to help Santa or whatever. Any child would believe that. Heck it's so cold at the moment I would believe that. Watching the snowman melt into the ground over a number of days would have been more upsetting for her in the long run I reckon. I always find that kinda sad myself.

Getting paid and being looked out for at the same time When gangs of kids would throw pop over the winos and try to have their booze taken off them Who would look out for them and tell the kids to fuk off yes us again It sounds like you think we used to hit them etc never ever The only people we whacked uptown was the posh twats on a day out in the city thinking they could Throw our fruit around they were the only ones who got ko'd Never hit a wino just had a piss about with them They were more than fine if u call being sellotaped up in a tv box with their consent for a laugh being bullied well u don't know what bulling is Some of u on here bonkers Haven't any of u ever lived a bit??? Fuk I get called a bully for doing a few pranks that EVERYONE involved laughed This site sometimes some of u need to get a bit streetwise My bullies always said it was for a laugh aswell.

please clarify 'with their consent' sofa. did they say 'yeah i'm well up for that - sounds like a laugh' or did they agree to do it because you offered them money/fags/booze whatever in return?

I swear on my sons life Sometimes they would just do itfor a laugh E,g go and chase a girl with a bunch of flowers we gave them Yeah ok they would prob do anything we said but We were never cruel to them Sometimes we had them helping us unload the vans etc we used to like them In no way did we harm them ok thinking back maybe the slugging the bottle of whisky was a bit naughty but the loved it and we pissed ourselves at watching Once we let eddy sleep in the stall as he had been ill with a cold When I think about it we were good to them

Im prolly gonna get flamed for this, BUT
Have you considered waiting to the kid is on his own one day, walking up to him being perfectly reasonable and nice and just asking him if he realised how upset your daughter got? And that you'd appriciate it if, whenever he was doing anything around your house he'd just bear her in mind and try not to damage her things.
I know this is a bit soft, but these kinda kids are pretty aggro and thats what they know, you respond with aggro they then RE-AGGRO back at you and he's always gonna be happier in confrontation because thats his thing. If you take him into an adult environment where aggro and fighting isn't an option and talk to him like a grown up you might find you get a bit of a reaction out of him.

The snowman isn't worth getting anxious about.......the group intimidation is. My daughter was upset because she saw it had gone and burst into tears before we had chance to explain that he'd gone to help santa or whatever. I have resisted all aggressive options because I'd rather dialogue..........and I cant scrap for toffee...........waiting for direct intimidation or actual contact to me or family before losing it. All is quiet on the front line and long may it stay that way, however, I have an all day drinking session in town next saturday........could well be d-day. Here's to me keeping my cool.

What we crows do if our neighbours are giving us trouble,
Is flyover their house and dump onto the car roof and windscreen, just after he's washed it.
Hope this helps
