tbf birds can do a lot less in these situations than blokes.

completely beside the point - if I was a 6ft 5 20 stone brick shithouse of a guy my answer would be the same.  We live in a civilised country with a justice system where people are employed to keep law and order.  If people are unhappy, for whatever reason, with the job police are doing in their local area, taking the law into their own hands isn't the way to fix things - use your passion and energy to badger the police, start a campaign, whatever.  Thugs that kick a kid's head in coz he's a bad apple are no better than the perpetrators of the original crime imo, and long term it's only going to lead to more problems when people think doing this stuff is the norm.  Further, it might drive the problem off your own doorstep (as in sofa's case) and if that's all your bothered about, then wd, you won, but it only drives the problem elsewhere.

Pretty clear I'm in a minority from the replies on this thread though.

In several countries I might agree but the justice system in this country doesnt work. I mean look at the guy on here who just got out after doing 2 years for being a paedo. wtffff.

When the justice system doesn't work, people have to take it into their own hands.

I used to get the kids in the street fighting each other for tenners

Fuk me we used to get the winos doing all sorts for a quid
Who could dent the pole of a no entry sign with their heads impossible but they used to try.... Lol

We used to wrap winos up in big tv boxes in town and just watch passers looking at the trying to get out of the boxes

A bad one was we would get 2 winos buy 2 bottles of cheap whisky and make them race drinking the whole bottle in one go

Fuk the list could go on and on

Our uncle mike used to make us go and ko all the piss heads on rugby international days

I'd say you were pretty lucky no-one turned up on your doorstep with a balaclava and a lump of wood

Good point.  Another thing the Singaporean police do is round up potential trouble makers, give them a "demo" of a caning using a dummy and then a tour of the correctional institutions.  In most cases the police have no need to see these kids again.

Claw I wonder if you would feel the same if your nan was having a lot of chit to deal with
Being scared stiff to walk to the shop etc
After the police saying sorry we have to catch them in the act etc

Utmost be the animal in me but I would defend my family
And territory to the death
Maybe I was a lion or something in a previous life
But as I've said before get on there side first by fooling about with them having a joke etc it makes life a lot easier

As to someone knocking my door with a balaclava
Never been done to me and I've never done anything
For someone to call

As for ko the idiots pissed up throwing my uncle mikes gear about
They had what was comming to them

When we were getting up at 3am to go pick up stock from wholesalers
Taking hours to flash it all up to look nice
Then some pissheads thinks it's fun to throw the stock around
Expect a good clip
It's much easier to ko them out when there pissed and when you 15 your fearless
You ask anyone who knows me I've never ever been a bully I've never had to
1thibg I can't stand is a bully ask around I've clipped a few mind

I'm staggered at some of this Sofa King.

Have you ever done time? If not, you are amazingly lucky becuase what you do in some of these instances is as bad as those you criticise

the stuff with the winos seems like it was some kind of sport.  didn't think it was particularly 'lol' myself.  In fact reading about it sickened me.
But, the whole attitude of 'don't mess with me or mine or you'll get what's coming to you' seems to typify the mindset of a bully to me.

I'd guess that the reasons no one has turned up on sofa's door with a balaclava and a lump of wood are:

a) winos aren't that well connected, hence why they're ok to pick on
b) people are too shit scared of his reputation
c) most of the local balaclavad dudes are probably on the payroll

Right let's first of all set the record straight
A lot of this happened over 20 years ago

As for the winos they used to love it
The who could down a bottle of whisky in one go was
Their favourite game

On the other hand the winos used to go into boots store next to my
Fruit stall and cause murders who would have to save them me or one of the fruit boys
Coz we knew how to handle them etc

I will fish this in a min

Someone at the door in a goody lol

Right I was saying about the winos
They were uncontrollable when the police came who had to go and tell the wino to calm down and go quietly us everytime
We used to be called every single day sometimes 3-4 times to get them out of boots the chemists
We were like superheroes I suppose
We had nick names I can rem
Meowmeow he thought he was a cat
Knock em down n fuk em eddy he was gay
Lankylanky he was a midget
Dodo he had a huge nose
Stumpy 1 leg obviously
As I'm thinking back about them we used to have a laugh with them they used to go get tea for us etc
We always give them a few quid we didn't always play silly tricks etc
Some had some sad stories
There was banana banana he used to push a trolley obviously we used to give him bananas for free
He died and they found £60,000 in his run down flat

There was line up line up he had about 30 dogs he was loaded

As for being locked up I've never ever been convicted
When I was younger went to court a few times but was always found not guilty
Self defence

Guys in not a c*nt if anything I'm one of the good guys

I remember once we did this for a laugh my uncle mikes idea
Freezing cold winter evening
We always went for a beer in the royal hotel
Ost Fridays
One freezing Friday night mike arranged for about 15 of the local winos to come in there with us for a pint lmao
Was soap funny u shoulda seen the managers face
He couldn't afford to kick them out as mike was a big spender in there he was a bit of a champagne charley

Ahh looking back just rem some stories funny sad
Think what u like
We were good to them aswel as having a joke around with them
Glueing 50ps to the floor watching them trying to get them off the ground kept them busy for ages lol

A lot of you haven't worked the streets selling anything drop
Light up yours to party poppers perfume all sorts
I done this from the age of about 12-13-14
We had fun but we also helped people and even more the police
When they used to get mobbed  by thieves in town we always helped them pulling the thrives off the coppers
For that the police turned a blind eye to us street trading etc

The winos loved us honest on my sons life
We were always giving them money gags tea food
Not always for pranks coz we did feel sorry for em
Some of them anyway
Some of them were just nasty
Most of them were nice
