The blinds/clock error.
I agree with every single word, & the sentiment behind, Cos's Posts on it.
Spot on.
Cardroom staff are human beings, some of them are as decent human beings as we poker players are. It's a little churlish not to forgive them an error from time to time. Cardroom Dealers seem to have become as fashionably unpopular as Traffic Wardens, Tax Inspecters, & Policeman. It makes no sense to me, but nor do lots of things these days.
Don't disagree with the above.
In a vacuum my stance sounds way 2 anal.
Its just a real peeve of mine, it seems to happen all the time, i just don't think it's fair that it's almost our job to do their job sometimes, especially when we are playing for a great deal of money.
But apparently if we don't say something, when we 'know' then we become a villain and the angle shooter.
We are just human beings too, and for some of us this is our job, one mistake by us could mean less money for bills next month etc..,
we aren't getting paid no matter what.
All the more reason to speak up if you see something amiss?
If you were on the Table which was being DISadvantaged, would you mention it then, or stay schtum, & accept the disadvantage?
Not much in life is perfect, I don't think it's a big deal that we forgive the occasional error, & do the right thing.
I understand your point, & I usually walk a mile in tight shoes to avoid conflict in cardrooms, or on blonde. But I just thought Cos had nailed it, exactly the right line & tone. And I don't often agree with him, so it was a sort of celebration, wiiiiiiiii!
Im always the one speaking up about such things, very few others seem too, just annoys me why im often highlighting something that isnt actually that beneficial to myself, obviously on the other table if i suspected something was up id also def speak up as it wld be to my advantage to do so and id be mad not too. Wld still be a little annoyed by it.
Yep not much in life is perfect yr right, i def need to chill about things like this a bit more.
Yes cos is basically right, i just dont like giving him credit for anything and feel like arguing with him just for the hell of it!

That would seem to end the debate.
And they all lived happily ever after.

Very nice mate. Nice little mini heater you seem to be on, 2 decent cashes in 2 days WP.
Cash game ruiling is pretty ridic but I've seen it in Luton, the ruiling went against Avi when a guy went all in on a 4 5 6 7 8 board and Avi just showed his ace high but left his 4 quid behind the line and never said call. Niall said that the rules meant that Avi's hand was dead.
Clock situation I'd tell the TD.

Good to see you too sir.
Yeah like 2.5stone now since the start of the year. Aiming for another 3 or so. Getting tough tho now, its going slower now. Haven't touched any rubbish food really, and probably ate more fruit/veg in the last 2 and a bit months than in the previous 20 odd years. I
AM
getting into Team Sky Poker in April so have to look semi-normal for the photoshoots obvvvvv.
You were looking slim too btw!

2.5 stone in under 3 months is terrific, well done, & it deffo shows, you don't just look slimmer, you look healthier, too. (This is to "scotty 77", not Celtic).
I managed to lose 5 stone last year, promptly put 2.5 stone back on, & it's taken me 8 weeks to lose 1.5 stone this time round, but I feel pretty good. If you read "Red-Dog's" Diary, (great read) he has lost 2 stone+ since Christmas, though he had the advantage of starting out as a real plumper, a sort of minni-Vinni.
Keep it going man. Every stone lost is another 25 years on your life, or some such. Or maybe every mile walked is another something, I dunno.
You in Team Sky Poker? Be nice - fingers crossed for you man, really.

I've always wanted to be an agony aunt, dear deidre is a personal favourite of mine. Got to be up there with the best in the business. She always seemed to say the right thing.
You got a problem you need advise on? Stick on here and I'll have a go. If I can't help, then I'm sure someone else may be able to.
Oh, chompy, no need to post here that pm you sent me recently about your 'little' problem.

Told the dealer straight away innit, well, when I say straight away, I made a mental note to remind me that when there is a white disk in front of me I have something very important to tell the dealer...
