After the comp, I headed upstairs, to the cash game.
Was on a table with pocketquadssuited? from blonde. Lost my first buy in, fairly quickly, and pulled up again, the table was fun, we were joined by three guys from Norther Ireland, who were over for the game, and we had some good, friendly banter. Got moved to the main table, and left about an hour later with a healthy profit. Was planning on leaving 15 minutes earlier, but they have a rule, that, If you are in profit, then you must announce you are leaving, and give 15 mins notice. Fair enough. Bit of a daft rule though, If you announce when you are on the button that you are leaving, then before it gets to your blinds, then you can just fold, and leave.
Last minute of my 15 minute notice, I hear a banging noise, I look round and there is a table knocked over, and a guy on the floor. It appears, that there may be a small scuffle breaking out

If only this was a small scuffle, this was brutal, the most sickening thing I have witnessed first hand. There was a guy holding his face, with blood pouring out, turns out, he had a glass smashed in his face, there was another guy, who had had a bottle smashed over his head, was bleeding, but not too bad, and the worst of it, there was a guy, lying on the floor, someone came running at him as he lay there and jumped on his head. He then seemed to celebrate this, then walked over, and started booting him in the ribs and head. The guy lay motionless, probably terrified.
It all seemed to happen so quick, and without any warning, almost like a contract battering, if there is such a thing. The five guys that were doing the damage, just calmly walked out as if nothing had happened.
The Casino security were useless, they were there very quick, but just seemed to freeze, and it was only after the guys had left, they decided to walk around, with puffed out chests, trying to look the part.
I picked up my chips, went for a smoke, and left.
Took a drive through the City Centre on the way home, more by getting lost, than trying to get home, and was amazed at the amount of police that were around, on a Monday Morning at 2.30am. Must have been 30 police cars at various points around a very small area. Don't know what had happened in the City, maybe nothing, but they seemed to be very noticeable, and ready for whatever came their way. Shame they weren't around the casino 30 mins earlier....
