What did you do to help you lose weight?
didn't eat any rubbish. meals for 2 months was like weetabix, fruit, tuna/chicken wholemeal sandwich, more fruit, soup or fish/chicken with steamed veg. no coffee. no tea. no fizzy drinks. only water and occassionally orange juice/cranberry juice.
have let some bad habits creep back in tho. drinking a lot more coffee now, and I had my first pizza for 3 months last week.
also exercised more. treadmill light jogging...when I started couldn't do 5 mins now I can do 45 mins easy. if I was too tired to jog then I'd just go for a walk.
the first stone/stone and a half is the easiest cos it comes off so quick. thats when the real battle begins IMO and something that I've got to face now.

I've nearly really been able to eat breakfast, I need about 1-2 hours after I wake up to eat generally, I've bought some weetabix, and make an effort to eat that in the morning, will take it to work with me if I have to.
I have also bought some fruit, pears and apples I think, can't remember now, and will eat that during the day.
I'm also gonna eat chicken breasts for lunch, with lots of salad, and have something small for dinner. I can't cook, but now seems like a good time to try and learn.
Also, fizzy drinks will be gone, I don't like water generally, but I can drink it. I will obv have to cut out tea and coffee, have about 6 cups per day atm. Im reluctant to cut out everything, have tried that in the past and it doesn't work.
I'm not fussed about chocolate and crisps, so cutting those out will be easy.
Also, I'm not gonna kid myself that joining a gym is the way forward, I wouldn't go. I'm gonna walk more, that should help a bit.

When you're used to drinking fizzy drinks, with lots of taste, then water is boring imo.

why cut out tea & coffee? Im assuming you take sugar?
Low carb/low GI is great. Its super tough for like 5 days - whilst you rbody gets used to it - and you really need will power and motivation to get through the craving for carbs.
However once through that, you are pretty much never hungry, are easily satisfied after eating - it involves plenty meat (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) and when you are into it, you can start to add little cheats in to vary your diet a little more.
ill PM you later

Bread, pasta, potatoes and rice are the main carbs to try and keep on the down low.

Just assumed 6 cups per day isn't very good. Do take sugar, 1 only, but can easily go without sugar, and have done in the past.
Any advise gratefully received. Cheers.

tea with milk and 1 sugar is only gonna be about 30 calories. obv don't want 8 of those a day but the odd one's ok. if you're happy to do without sugar then you're halving the calories and it's really not bad at all
