gah, sorry Tom. I meant chav.
Forgot that the word 'Pikey' was a negative reference to Gypsies.
Doing a good job of highlighting my ignorance this week!

Similar situation to you.
I'm playing live cash and I'm up like 8 buy ins. Got a wall of chips in front of me and I'm being pretty vocal at the table. I've bought a couple of drinks etc and there is one guy who is very interested in my work. He sais he has a business offer and I meh give him my email address. He seems really interested in me and keeps telling me how good he thinks I am etc.
The guy buys in for £30 a time and has never played poker before. He bought in for £12.50 (minimum sitdown is £25) but we said it was fine. He asked a local stockbroker who is known to be very rich to buy him a drink as he had no more money and then after getting the drink he lost his £12.50. I went to go to the toilet 20 minutes later and he's sitting on the slots spinning away.
15 minutes later we are playing 3 handed and he again sits down with £15ish quid, he insta asks if I will buy him a double vodka orange (he was adamant he wanted singles when he was ordering previously) He calls the waiter over and is like one second I need to make sure Patrick is paying, will you pay Patrick, double vodka orange, that ok my man?
He's basically begging for money here and I really don't care about the £££ but just felt like this was really cheeky and he was putting me in a position where if I was a nit I would either
1) feel really uncomfortable
2) have no choice but to say yes.
Buy him a drink?
Say no thanks?

id say no mate, it sounds pretty dodge. What business offer can he be offering you when he needs you to pay for his drink and he's scrounging for £12.50 buyins? Why should you buy him a drink? Cos you're winning loads? Explain how you do it for a living and no1 buys you drinks when you're losing. Maybe throw in a friendly "Oh I always lose to people when they've had a few drinks so i'll leave it" sort of comment.

My 8session winning streak came to an end tonight in rather ugly fashion. Lost 580, mostly standard coolers/beats/running bad etc I think I lost £125 because I peeled £13 3bet with QJo in position, 150deep when I probably should've folded and that ended up costing me my stack. Other than that pretty happy with my play. Payed someone off once when perhaps could've folded, and also got bluffed off QQ on Ahigh flop which was gheyyyy.
Anyway, had a 2.5k week so vhappy. Feeling a bit fatigued by it all right now. I've been sleeping at weird times, basically doing 2 shifts of sleep and 2 shifts of poker each day, is very bizzarre. But yeh feeling like a day or two off poker would be a good thing. I met Leatherman today at DTD and gladly doubled up his missus with AK vs AA allin pre for £70! I did the classic error of snapturning over my hand when the flop came A99 thinking I had to be good and didn't want to slowroll her!
Sigh@ lack of response to my piece on Mitch! Thought it deserved a lot more acclaim than it got! Took about an hour this morning to do and I think either I think it's way funnier than it actually is, or people have missed the hidden messages! Will repost below...

Hi Alex, nice meeting ya lastnight, having seen ya few times at Gala an dtd it was good to finally say hello..
It was a bit ruff the Ak an AA hand especailly when ya man straddled for £10 and i could see the $$ in ya eyes as we both smiled. Then when the Mrs got involved and it came to showdown i was just hoping she'd not got pocket Kings as the journey home would of been a nightmare. Don't know if its the same for anybody else but i do my best not to talk about her play after games, as no matter how i try and help she thinks i'm putting her down. lol.. Anyway i think i've still got a pass out today for the super 50 so i'll look out for ya fella..
