ha it's fine, dw. i definitely do spew chips here n there and am probably a bit of a live fish. but it is definitely possible for me to play a flush this way and i'm pretty sure that this being the case is not clicking buttons.

welcome to blonde.

Thoughts on Mitchell Johnson? His poker game, the general size of him etc

cheers.

good questions. mitch's poker game...

strengths:

40:60s
hero calls/guesswork
omaha flips
accidentally value betting

weaknesses:

showdowns
selecting playable hands
flop play
turn play
river play
missing a few orbits to go play on the slots
eating and playing at the same time

as for general size - large.

Sick work, now if poker ever goes wrong he has a pretty solid CV ready Tongue

Hi Stevie, welcome to the crazy world of blonde lol - I think a big mistake you're making in saying "its plausible to play a flush this way" is how many flushes Alex has in his range which imo is a higher than most other hands, so when we decide that we are going to bluff the river we have to account for the times HE will have a flush which obviously will subtract from the success of the bluff, as will the times he calls with a straight, which he should do often tbf because if he reads hands well (which alex does) i think he wont give you much credit for a flush OTR, in fact i wouldn't be surprised if he calls with 55 OTR.

I dont think it's terrible play i just think you got over fancy and turned a pretty simple hand into a complex one

Annoying session of 1/2. Had loads of fun in it though, and ran like god in the props most of the night.

-Stack off 500 to Thigh with TT vs AK aip
- Double up through Mitch (wiii) for 500, 3betting J2cc btn vs his cutoff open. He donks JJ5 I flat, 8 turn he bets I shove he calls.
- Lose tons of small - medium pots and I'm back down to 650. Then play a really fun hand with Terry.

Terry opens to 15 in a straddled pot. I flat IP. Terry cbets £20 on two spades I raise to 65, he calls.

Turn is (nice) Terry checks, I bet 160 leaving me with about 400 to shove river with. He calls.

-River Terry shoves for me. Run better me! He had .
-After that didn't play many big pots until about ten minutes from the end when I got 1350 in pre with AK vs Terrys AKspades, we run it twice and he makes a flush on the first one so lose just under 700 in that hand.
-Was down to about 700 with 5 minutes left. There's still 2 hands left for me to do my money in though, don't worry! T9 vs AJ on TTKQJ vs Terry for a couple hundred more.
-Then on the last hand, Terry opens to 15, I find QQ and just shove for 350. Terry is a nice guy and loves a gamble and I was pretty sure he'd call fairly light wanting to give me a spin and may've thought I was on tilt. He said he had and would call if he was live, asking me if I had a big pair or not. Obv I told him he was in bad shape, he offered to spin me for £50 which I accepted so we ran it out and it came Jhigh two spades lol, Ten on the river (which was Stevie's prop card for a further £50!). Marvelous!

Down about 1300 overall. Am strangely upbeat though. I've made a few adjustments to the lines I take vs the regs now, and it's been working out really well so far. I feel I'm playing much better as a result, and feeling really good about my game. I've also been paying way more attention to stuff, and picked up a few really accurate betsizing tells on some people (Giblin). So I'm happy to be playing my best, and just having loads of fun playing at the moment. A really good bunch of people regularly playing during the week atm. It's not a soft game by any means, there's hardly any spots at all in fact, but I'm loving it.
