Results for the month.
Profit: £5466
Hours: 190
Wage: £28.71/hr
Pretty damn pleased with that, both in terms of profit (best yet on cash) and hours (2nd best yet).
Only managed 80 hours of 1/2 cash at DTD which is 100 points = £336 deepstack seat. Means I've spent an unnatural amount of hours playing tournaments, to no avail so far.
We're in almost 5k of tourney makeup now
and not had a cash since July that I can remember. But overall, a very successful month
Aims for November:
Play enough hours of cash for 2deepstack seats.
Play many comps in Blackpool during the GUKPT - get out of tourney makeup for K&K
Nice result for the month! Is the make up a team total of -5k? and if one of you binks does it wipe out the total or is on an individual basis?
You smoked summin funny today rich?
Just wondered whether its a team thing as Alex talked about WE as opposed to I..

I wish!
It's zerofives way of writing that has infected me, he always says "we find AK utg" or "we did a win" etc.

When you make a ds seat is that £336 in your pocket with K&K still putting you in ? (Live rakeback ftw)
Basically in my pocket yeh, k&k will give me the cash and will still have half.

Nice results mate.
Think you are doing a good job of locking your ego away, and game selecting well.
I know this sounds too obvious but play less tourneys.
Your edge is almost certainly bigger in cash anyway, and you have 100% of that edge, whereas in MTT's you only have part of it.
ermmmm think the majority of Alex's winnings this year are from tournaments (which he plays risk free).

Sad to see the live update fund is struggling to fund comps these days.
I think they are brilliant in many ways, they promote blonde massively - some of the final day threads have 100+ viewers at a time, loads ofwhich are unknowns who sign up to blonde because of it. Its how i discovered blonde, when i was travelling last summer I wanted to see how deadman was getting on in a deepstack and signed up because of the updates.
They're also great for the players, there's a different sort of buzz when you're being reported on, photos taken, when you know there's a bunch of ppl sweating you on the internet.
The Blackpool fund is 310quid short, go on some of you viewing this thread atm, go to the live update thread in the rail and give a lil something

Looks like everyone was just clicking buttons to me
Thanks for turning up
This a dig or something? How else would you describe the hand? The only hand the Steve kid can't have given flop action is a flush, yet he is trying to make you fold a straight? If that isn't clicking buttons what is?
You said everyone was clicking buttons, sounded like a dig at me as well as Stevie. I don't really get his play either but whenever he explains stuff it always sounds pretty smart lol.
I think actually its a pretty stnd hand that should in a way play itself, I think you prolly played it spot on, defo situations where jamming the flop will be > calling but obv that depends on loads of things and defo some case for leading the turn purely because Stevie should be checking back a ton - very nice river check as played
and sick months work,
nicely done sir! lessons?

Results orientated, and view skewed by vested interest..... evidence ruled inadmissible.

Thanks Alex, appreciated.
People expect things for free these days, as a rite of passage, but you can bet a £ to a piece of shit that there'll be a right hoohah if they have to end. What will be will be, I guess.

Thanks Alex
I've got Ian Gascoigne's company helping out with the Deepstack this weekend once again, as without that it would be a struggle too
December could be momentous for the updates...DTD Deepstack, Monte Carlo and GUKPT Grand Final (in that order of priroity) but that looks a long shot at the moment even compared to previous months where I have kept them going through thick and thin
The wild card to all this is finding more and continued corporate sponsors....in addition a couple of options from the Online Poker world are present but it is (rightly) not an easy sell to the forum sponsors Sky Poker to have a competitor looking for sign ups from update viewers

I'd quite like a post on how to find the mythical £2/£2 dealers choice game at DTD. It's like Brigadoon- lots of people seem to have seen it, but it never seems to go when I'm in.
