Made deepstack day 2 with 102k avg 68 or something. Not many interesting hands expect one hand with Roberto Romenello that's a bit of a brag so I won't go into it. Lets run good tomorrow!

The degen beast inside me came out today, was pretty shocking.

Min cashed deepstack, had top 5 stack one minute, bust 10 minutes later.

Played the UKOPS main event, chip leader, had top 10stack for most of tourney, crushed my table then lost allins AQ to K9 and KK to JT on K89, all for big pots. Stacked by beaneh in the end. Fairly tilting! Not moaning just explaining the events that caused me to tilt so bad.

Went to DTD played a short handed game, Rob Yong sent me over the edge with some bizarre calls and plays and I was one card away from tilting off the lot (2k). Was down abs chunks and was just shoving a bunch of hands to try and get out of it. The river saved me in a 200pound omaha flip so lost 1600 instead of 2k. Actually ran home from DTD - very upset at myself for being so stupid. Can count on one hand the number of times I've got like that, but every time it happens its pretty costly.

Bit embarrassed to post all this but gotta own up to all these things, otherwise it makes a mockery of the diary concept. Never mind, live and learn.

Good honest post Al, now get back to work!!

Thanks, it's pathetic reading that back this morning. How such small things can set off all that. I've had so many nights where ive ran far worse than that but been fine. Either I've stood up and had an early night, or I've been in a sound frame of mind to reload and continue.

It's an hugely damaging characteristic to have as part of me, and I've no idea how or why it happens. It's so weak and stupid. And I know it's happening, I knew I was tilting like crazy, but there was no way I could stand up and walk away without losing that money I had in front of me, or just getting it in and doubling up a few times. Urgh! Javed?!

I'm not too worried about it, it only seems to happen once in a blue moon, I remember once in august, once at the start of the year and maybe once a couple of years ago, but it's so horrible when it happens I'd rather it never did of course.

like the most natural thing ever in gambling mate, happens to everyone, as you get a bit more experienced in happens less and less so it sounds like its pretty rare anyways for you, just really try an focus when you get tilted, Stu Barnett gave me some decent advice once and that was after a hand that might tilt you a bit that you get stacked in, just rebuy for like 40big blinds or something and grrriiiinnnnd it for 30mins, test you focus and patience where you dont risk chunks and then as soon as you think your focus is 100% back top up again.

yeah what's an extra £6k a year? Only a 3000BB leak, hardly worth addressing.

Happens to everyone bud. Noticed it happening to you less and less. The last time I remember it happening was pretty lol anyways. Snap moved in with 52o and snap showed it, got 3 callers then flopped a house.

This might sound like fool's advice, but I've found I can relax more at the table after a gym session. Give that a try, you lazy douche.

Umm. can really relate to you here, I too have had stacks others could only dream of having, and spazzed it so hard it has reduced me to tears at times... I don't think I'll ever get 100% out of this tiltness I have that can cause me to blow stupid sums in one night - The only thing that helps me through it all is I honestly believe I will keep getting chances at having these tests that are put to me.

Hope you can conquer it, after chatting to you the last couple of times I've been up to DTD, you really seem like a decent, honest person, and I wish u all the best in the future, gl

Had a total day off on Monday, which I don't do too often, but after Sundays monstrosity, seemed like a good idea. Once a week Hannah and I try and have a 'date night' cos we don't spend many evenings together cos of poker. We cooked stir fry and watched the Shawshank Redemption, both of us for the first time. Amazing film, really inspiring and well done, can see what all the hype's been about.

Yesterday it was the start of our Blackpool adventure. Stato, Mitch, Nick Hicks and I drove across (?) to the city of dreams that is blackpool, and we're spending the week here to grind the gukpts. Stato, Mitch and I have got an apartment really near the G, which is brand new and really sick and pretty cheap.

We all played the 500 side event yesterday, found it incredibly dull and boring to be honest, losing most pots I played, J9 vs 89ss on 923Jx with backdoor spades, then got kings in vs a flush draw and gutshot on the turn, and he spiked the river to cripple me. Was out before level 4 Sad not enjoying tournaments at all these days. But a job can't be fun all the time.

Was gonna fade the cash and get an early night, but the casino was streaming the main event and it was pretty fun watching it there so played 1/2 for a few hours. It was awesome watching it, the live stream is incred and with the commentary, hole cards, i think it's a huge step forward for poker in terms of making it a worldwide spectacle and making it muggle-friendly, which esfandiari does excellently.

Gutted for lamb, had 60quid on him winning @ 11/2 and loved watching him play throughout the series - he is so professional and handles himself really well at the table as well as obv being sick good (his staredown is pretty cool too lol). My next favourite was Staszko, who i grew to really like. I can't really put my finger on what I liked so much about him, but I just really enjoyed the way he did things and liked his quiet demeanour and sort of silent passion and drive that shone through towards the end. Sadly he couldn't overcome the Heinz machine, who probably deserved it for playing the best poker on the final table.

Stato, Nick and I all won decent amounts on cash and Mitch made day two of the 500 so successful trip so far. Big night out tonight then Main event tomorrow, or if night out goes well, will have to fade it and play 1b on Friday Wink
