Jet Lag is crazy still! My body thinks it's illegal to be asleep between 7am and 10am, which is really annoying since that's like the nut worst time to be awake - literally nobody in the world is awake then. There's been a few cash games running on the internet so I've passed the time mindlessly clicking buttons watching the numbers in my accounts go up and down small amounts. Been doing some good wins actually recently.
Played a huge sunday grind and had an 8th place finish in a 100euro mtt to break even, obviously even one more ladder gets me winning and there was like 8k euros for first so it was slightly annoying to bust, lost A9>A7 to knock someone out 8 handed too.
Played a few live cash sessions recently too, basically been putting in tons of volume since I've been back from Vegas which is pleasing and I've been running OK aside from the biggest pot I've played since my return, which was against Sean which was pretty unfortunate. Quite funny though what happened. I'll write about it later, am just about to go out for lunch with my Mum and Bobby who have come up to visit the kittens!

Big game for DTD Degens on wednesday. Here's the league table with 3 games to go.
And we're playing the Academy this week. Come on boys!
And the ringer of the season award goes to....

Incred video of Kolo and the other two kittens. So sick how she just bosses the white one and stares at the camera as if to say "yeh and wot"

Snowy>Kolo>Tiger imo
The white one's been officially named "Chloe" last night. Yet to officially name "Tiger" but since we're giving that one away, probably gonna just stick with Tiger until we do.
Speaking of that, does anyone want a kitten?!

Had a good day with the family today, Bobby has stuck around, he's just turned 18 so obviously took him straight to DTD and regged him in the £15 freezeout. [ ] He made level 3. [X] He lateregged. Sigh!
Even bigger sigh was losing a grand in the first 15 minutes of a 1/2 game. Dunno whether it was standard/cooler or I could've done something differently. We're playing 6handed 1/2/4 and everyone is sat £1k deep. Pete Linton opens to £15 from the cutoff and I'm in the SB with
and 3bet to £50, Mitch cold peels the big blind and Linton makes it £190. I shove. Mitch folds, Pete snaps with Queens and holds.
Pete's just come back from Vegas where he was up a lot for the trip playing 10/25 PLO. He's on a heater atm, really confident and playing great. He certainly knows I'm quite aggro pre and I think he thinks
too
aggro in some spots based on a comment he made a couple of months ago. Pete doesn't go bananas pre that often in cash games, I'd never expect him to show up with 99/TT/AQ that he was getting in for example. When called I expect to be crushed/ vs AK. Obviously I expect to get quite a few folds too from his 4b bluffing range.
The games only been running about half an hour and we've already played one pot together, same positions where I flatted TT c/called A75r and we checked down 4turn 7 river and I was good vs KT. So this may indicate to him that I have a polorized 3b range from the SB vs his CO open to JJ+/AK and bluffs.
It seems like a lot to get in with Jacks but I don't know if I should just fold to his 4bet and if I'm not going to fold, what else am I going to do with stacks/positions?

If Pete's stuck and seems visibly tilted then I'm gonna get it in vs him here, but given what you've said (and what I already know about the one who we shall BLESS) I'd not get it in.
Also, I doubt I've ever read a DTD cash HH where Mitch isn't cold calling a 3 or 4 bet. <3 AMLM

Thanks very much Constantine. I don't mind giving the blessed one my money.

That hand has been really bugging me and dampened my spirits somewhat.
I've been playing smaller since back from Vegas - I've played 7000 hands of 100nl online and put in an 8 hour session in a really good 50/1 game in Gala, which turned into 1/2. I've won 700euros online, and won £350 in that Gala session, then first time in a big game, I lose £1k in 30 minutes, it's a massive punch in the stomach, all my hard work from the last 7days gone in one foul swoop. I wouldn't mind so much but I think I misplayed the hand in question and should just fold when Pete makes it £190. I'll talk to him about it and see what he thinks.
I'm thinking about selling some shares to free up some more liquid funds. I have £40k in shares which is quite a high % of my net worth, and I'm feeling a lot more broke than I actually am because I don't have a 5figure roll at DTD anymore or tons of £ in the bank.
Having said that, that money was money from the Monte Carlos that was supposed to be put away for savings and I never really wanted to touch it. So I'm not sure whether to bankroll manage the money I do have, or whether to count that money as part of my roll and carry on playing big and taking shots in EPTs, staking lots etc. Like with everything, probably best to do a bit of both. Sorry if this post appears braggy in anyway, it's not meant to be at all - I'm not feeling hard done by or like I've fallen on hard times in anyway. I know most people never discuss anything to do with their personal finances on a public forum. Maybe I won't in the future but I've never hid anything on this diary, back last year when I had £3k to my name, I said so then, so for now, I'm going to keep it that way.

Good Honesty as usual Alex, IMO I think freeing up some ££ is fine as you are disciplined enough that once you have binked another Monte Carlo (must be due one soon) or won a few sessions at cash will put the ££ back where it belongs.

Not saying this wud b wrong but fwiw i think u shud show ur professionalism and practise Gud BR managment with the roll u got building it up in order to take shots. What happens if u dip into savings and go on downswing, Cud easily leave u shorter than u want and then will u feel u need to dip in again. I understand u r a gud player and wanna b playing the biggest and best games and I am sure u will, but do it the right way. GL whatever u decide u seem sensible enough to make right decision for urself.
