Alex has part of the reason you've not really blogged lately got anything to do with the DTD cash games?
I've heard some disenchantment from a few friends about things like non-pro cash games in the club (in which the odd pro has been allowed to play etc).
Skip this question or tell me if you want to delete it. Know it might be a bit tricky.

ok for balance here's some questions for you Frankie:
How wonderful is DTD?
The tournaments are great aren't they?
Why do you think the valets are soooooo pretty?
Seriously it's so fking annoying how everyone is so scared to ask or say something about DTD that isn't totally 100% positive and full of roses. I've never said the club isn't great. It's fucking excellent. Doesn't mean that like with every business, there aren't things that can be improved etc
Alex has made a carreer from his bink at the Monte Carlo. He's spent years grinding cash there. Why can't I ask a genuine question without people like you making those lame comments?
I know people are scared of the dtd ban hammer for saying anything that can be constrewed as negative but im not flaming or trolling and I'm asking in a polite way.

I don't actually think I've been blogging less than I always have. I just think it gets pointed out everytime I go 24 hours without a post so it's more noticeable!
I decided no good can come from blogging about the non-pro cash game and that remains true today, but you're right there's been some upset and difficulty relating to it. That, the general direction and ethos behind DTD nowadays, and the high number of pros/semi pros that populate the Nottingham games has rendered Nottingham a very hard, perhaps impossible place to make a living playing poker.
Before people read too much into that paragraph, I just want to explain that I fully support and understand DTDs ethos and direction with regards to grass roots players and supporting the recreational players, it's got to be the right direction to go in for the economy in general and should benefit everybody in the long term.
I've had it reasonably easy in my career thus far, but the landscape is different now and new challenge awaits...

Best of luck with whatever you choose. I'm sure you'll make a success of it. Has Victoria changed your outlook on things, a good woman can do that!

Unfortunately, bar some miracle today, September will go down in the books as my biggest ever losing month - not a nice record to break. The previous one was the now infamous November 2012. I'm not going to say it's doesn't seem real or it's been a joke, as to be honest, it's not been, I've just ran quite bad in all areas at once, which probably should have happened more often than it has over the past 3 years.
So it's been a hit, and travelling to Sweden, Vegas, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Spain and Estonia in the last three months and not really winning in July and August has meant the roll has been battered a bit. Tons of big tournaments and festivals that have all gone badly too (20 live tournaments in a row without a cash, catching Thigh's record!) so the loss column has been getting plenty of ink. Basically I'm not in the best shape for playing the stakes I want, so I'm going to get backed again.
I've been on my own for 18 months and had my ups and downs and it's got it's pros and cons of course compared to being backed. I've grinded back from this sort of roll before but for a variety of reasons I've decided not to do that this time and get staked instead. I know many people will consider this a mistake but I have good reasons.
I know a lot of people don't blog about this sort of thing, as obv it's more baller to pretend you've got the lot and play everything on your own dime, but it's important for me to keep this an honest account, and not worry what people think. I'll still be playing cash games on my own it's just tournaments are completely mental and I can't take another month like this! Hoping for some early success today in this new era...
