3 bricks since the HPO, 1k, 1.5k and one droplet. Got pretty close in the one drop - spun up to 70k twice, and was pretty close to the money when I got severely coolered with boat vs boat.

Been playing loads of SNGs whilst out here. About 40 in total - they've been going terribly lol. They're really high variance so can't really complain, I'm bringing it on myself to get whacked day in day out haha. Been some fairly brutal ones though, they're winner takes all so its often 5k, 7k, 10k bubbles when heads up. Won't bore you but there's been some real low-morale points recently.

Also it's been really hard getting people together for dinners etc, everyone doing different things and wanting to grind out of it (everyone bar deadman is losing), so life's been really dull and withering out here, just get up, play, eat meals the table, sleep.

Venetian 1.1k tomorrow, Wynn main event after that, then it's the main event, and honestly, it can't come soon enough.

On the other hand you have sorted the home in London and can come back to a routine and grinding in nice comfortable surroundings.

Could always pull off a last week of Vegas miracle but if not it isn't the worse scenario.

god I got HU in one of those 1k sngs with 95k - 5k chip lead, was $10k bubble and $4k sidebets, he wants deal I say you can have $2k (which I think is very good) he says he wants $6k, which he then dropped to $5k, I refuse ofc and within 5 hands he has all the chips.

Made day two of the Venetian 500k gte yesterday. Restarts tomorrow so official day off today, whoop! Hopefully will involve a sick FT rail of my best pal Andrew Hulme! He's roughly 17/27 on day 3 of the $1500 bounty, and really is due a big score. He went from being the luckiest in the group back in 2012/13 when he won Hotter 55 back to back sundays, super tuesday, sunday warmup etc....to going on the biggest downswing I've ever seen over the last 18-24months.

I've said for ages now that I want Stato to get a result more than myself, and meant it, please let this be the one!

Had a great night last night. The day 1 finished at 9, so went and joined the boys at Nine steak house then all went for drinks in Aria, met up with Trumper, the Melin twins, Spittles etc, was some top banter, especially from Trumper obv!

Got in around 6am, still feeling the effects. Pool party in a bit, then head down for the rail hopefully!

I assume that includes equity settlement on the side bets.... but even so, $1500 would have been my price, I think.  Those 95/5 deals never make sense, hardly worth trying to negotiate, unless someone is clearly distressed about the situation and looking for an easy (read: off market) route out.

As the 5% guy chopping up $14k, I'd want $2k+ to go away, otherwise I'd rather take my shot.  As the 95% guy, I only really want to give away $1k to get rid of him.  Usually leads to a stalemate.

yeh, guy A doesn't wanna give away much of the money he feels nailed on to win, and guy B, doesn't care much for the minor EV he gains from taking a small amount because the upside of turning it round is very big.

Was even more annoying that, on at least three occasions during that SnG the dealer had to physically wake him up! And ofcourse I get a "I DID OFFER YOU A DEAL!" needle, haha Vegas...

Nice reports btw Alex, and unlucky on the trip, sounds like you've played real good, kept your head and the cards just haven't fallen.

So 130 came back for the Venetian 1.1k with 72 paid and $130k up top. I started well, building my stack up to around average, was set to cruise into the money, then lost a big hand making a disciplined river fold vs a very good reg, which left me short then busted soon after in a standard spot.

Finishing position: 86th.

2 consecutive top 15% finishes without a cash. Another low point in the trip.

Played 6 sngs after and although chopped the last one, still lost about $2.5k.

Satellite day today, then it's all riding on the main event. One time!
