i did wonder :-)
will echo what others are saying. i read every post you write, and this is one of the best (and long running) blogs on here through all the ups and downs.
these days, with social media so dominant, its become the norm for people to reply less (its easy to like etc on fb and feel like you've shown appreciation, we need a like button!) but its appreciated when you post on here

Do you have those wine glasses with no stems. How do you find them?
Yes we have them, Victoria likes them but prefers stems. I didn't get a very detailed answer tbh and I don't really drink wine in the house.

I remember meeting you and was surprised that u were rather hench. Why are u now fat?
I've never been hench lol. This is the weird thing though. I've been through spells of being committed to working out 5/6 times a week, taking protein shakes and watching what I eat. Say for 4 months at a time. Getting stronger but not seeing many physical changes and definitely not getting any comments about looking bigger or whatever. So it was kinda demoralising and once I got engaged lol, definitely got lazier.
However now I've not been to the gym for almost 18 months and I'm 27 now, I guess my metabolism has slowed down, and I've put on weight - I'm getting loads of comments like "have you been working out?" and saying I look hench - it's brilliant lol
I reckon if I went back to the gym now, I could put on some size, but tbh I just don't care enough to commit to it. Victoria likes my belly and loves to feed me huge portions and treat me to desserts <3, it's hard to say no to that

Very much this, & we all share a bit of that guilt.
Deffo amongst, if not the best Diary on here, even if he is a bit of a Percy Plumper these days.

Hey Alex,
Did you ever end up taking out a 1st time buyers ISA?
They have been available for a year or so now. If you ever buy a property in cash, you would still be able to benefit with the bonus from the isa. Whilst it's not millions of pounds it is still free money. It is also available to Mrs G.
How is it going with getting on the property market?

Hey Kev,
No I never did, but thanks for reminding me I will look into it. With me being technically unemployed and if I'm buying the property outright (no mortgage) would I still be eligible? I'm still a year or two away from being able to afford my own place in London but like you say it's free money.

Bizarre experience tonight.
First night back after Christmas and it's very slow, no players yet. I get talking to a guy who wanders into the poker room. Comes up that he's into hypnotherapy. I say I've never been hypnotised or anything and could he do it on me. I don't believe in anything like that but will try anything once lol. He said yeh, and off he started.
Tells me to raise one arm up and close my eyes, spouts a bunch of spiel for 10 minutes and then says open my eyes and I should feel amazing. I didn't feel anything. Shock. I noticed some of the managers were standing there watching us though. Next minute, he's been peeled aside and kicked out and barred. And I'm being told that I'm not allowed to play tonight in case I'm not of a sound mind
That's a new one.
