Good luck today, Shelley.
She may even revive this Diary with a Tourney Report.
"How to win". Original content, see?

Go eastern Europe imo - interesting places, good value and it's a slightly different culture which is what you want from a holiday.
I always wanted to go to Morocco as well.
Tallin you'd like, I think the kids would like it as well

Been playing more live omaha. I'm not great but others are so damn shit at it (including some who think they're decent) that I can't help but keep playing. Problem is that it's swingy as fuck- spose that's why there's so much value in it.

Where have you been playing it, Geo?
Fair to say, yes, it's pretty swingy & swongy, but wonderful fun if you can cope with the swings.
Wonder how you'd have coped with it pre "Mental Game of Poker"?

I wouldn't have touched it tbh honest Tikay.
Just been playing locally. Started great but the last couple times I've been have been expensive. It's sometimes easy to get caught up with all the fish gambling and taking a "if you can't beat em join em" type of mentality. Needless to say it doesn't end well for me when I take that stance!

Today is your anniversary? Congrats to both of you!
How many years, George?
I know you already know this, but it must be quite rare for a married man with saucepans, and a day job, to be able to devote so much time to his hobby, in this case poker, (both playing it, & "blonde" time), it must take a very special wife to be so understanding & supportive.
You are lucky to have such a wife, & I'm sure she's lucky to have you, too.
Go win a lovely Anniversary pressie for both of you. Be gentle with peeejay though, Alex needs the lolly.

6 years of marriage although been together for almost 11 and yes agree. Shelley is hugely supportive and really helps in game too when I feel like I might be about to do something stupid with my chips (me?)
I've had a pretty hectic weekend. We went to gala to play the donkement on Friday, bed at 2am, up for work at 7am. Finish at 2, drive to dtd, play 11 hours, drive home, asleep by 3am. Up for work for 7. Finish here at 2, drive to dtd for the final 11. Good thing I'm used to very little sleep!

Well played yesterday George
Would almost rather have lost to your AQ, but only almost. Would certainly have preferred to inflict the runner-runner on anyone else but you.
