Starts on Friday with Wales hosting England. Love the Friday night games!
Should be pretty competitive in a World Cup year.
Still think France have the best players but not sure about their coach and their fixtures.
Outright prices are pretty yuck. Might have a look at the top tryscorer market in a bit.
I've backed Ireland - England in the straight forecast.
Ireland start with Italy and have England and France at home. After the Wales game which is winnable, England have 3 games (including the French) at home.
My hope is that Ireland V England game on the final weekend could be a grandslam decider and if not both teams will have at least won 3 and lost 1 and be in the race for the title and I'll get a sweat/be compensated if England don't win it.
The lovely people at skybet have priced this up at 12/1 when other bookies are as short at 7/1.

On the way to Cardiff

Wales 5/4. I have them slight favourites at home, I must say.

5/4 yesterday

15/8 is huge. It's a 50-50 game imo. Good value. England probably better but Wales big home advantage against England.

11-8 Skybet. 2-1 betfair.

If only betfair sponsored the forum everyone might have been on Smiley

I like England by 1-12 at 11/8. Agree it is close but I think we can edge it. Don't think Hook at 15 was the right choice. He's a much much better player than that.
Last year Wales seemed to play well after going behind so maybe England / Wales FT if they get Hook at 10 or centre later in the game.

Brian Moore is an extremely biased commentator imo, do the many Englishmen on here share my sentiment?

Tells it like it is on the games. His views on scrummaging are very right, and the current law ruins the game

Yes he is a bit biased, but he is also one of the best analysts around.

Jonathan Davies v good too. Nicol ok. Guscott terrible.

On Sky Barnes is ok, Morris horrible and Will Greenwood excellent

Don't think I've heard an impartial Rugby commentator to be honest. Moore is not in the same league as Davies for bias.
