Another woeful Matchroom card tonight. Six months in to the year and Hearn has put on one decent card why he had the neck to charge us PPV for.  I'm guessing it's probably part of the plan. Serve up complete and utter dross on most dates with a decent card (no better than that) thrown in now and again which he will charge PPV for.

Price vs Terper headlining for the European heavyweight title + the Smith and Fielding bouts was a decent little card. Again though there's no margin for error and the card turns to crap :/

It was during the Hull card I asked my mate, would you travel to this show if you had free tickets (worth £60each)? We just laughed at each other. VIP tickets + free booze? No. How about free accommodation? No. Free ticks + travel + hotel? Well we had a discussion about how long the train takes to get from Scotland to Hull.

What was the pre fight betting before Groves beat De Gale in 2011?

I only follow boxing from a distance, but assumed De Gale was still unbeaten.

Thought Groves must have been seen as a stiff put in front of JdG like all boxers get for their first 20 fights seemingly.

Frank Warren is old school and loves a good 50/50 domestic match up. However he has managed to lose a lot of his fighters.

As fed up as we are of Eddie Hearn's mismatches, the fighters do prefer being with him at Matchroom.

DeGale was a short price. 1/3 or similar. DeGale by KO was also odds on. DeGale had just come off a career best performance v Paul Smith to win the British title whereas Groves had been dumped on his arse by Kenny Anderson (before coming back to win) I had DeGale nicking it but it was very close.

Did anyone notice what price James Degale was after the final bell went against Dirrell?

Bellew points looks the bet of the night by a distance to me. Bacurin is a big unit having fought at heavyweight. He has only been stopped twice, once by Banks at heavyweight and once by Kudryashov. He managed to last longer than all of Kudryashov's other victims(he has stopped all 18 opponents). It's only a 10 rounder as well which helps.

Without having kept a p+l record, these meaningless sub 12 round fights seem to go the distance more often than the bookies shorty KO odds suggest.

End of round 7 and we're wanting Bellew by points yet id love it if Bellew got KO'd by a left hook.
