I just John Blacked two people in one hand

dont just throw that around....

what do you mean exactly???

could be so many things lol

I had the suited deuce ldo. Two Diamonds to be precise. Got it in versus someone from Northampton who knows John Black oddly enough, and a Patrick Stewart lookalike. We turned a flush, raked the pot, and posted an homage to John Black immediately. Cheesy

Revised to-do list:

 - Win a pot with KQ
 - Bluff Nik Flanagan with a £133 bet
 - Lose or win a pot big enough to make the diary
 - anything you guys can think of

 - Won a pot with KQ. Nice and early in the day, too. I was actually about to write that hand up when the 72 pot happened. That one meets a criterion of bullet point number 3 so you get to read about both; I'm so good to you guys. KQ was relatively simple. We were just discussing how aggro this whale on the 1/1 table was and how he was exactly what we needed to get this game out of the muck when BINK he just magically sat down and donked into me on three streets on Q 8 2 T 8. Game confirmed out of muck.

 - I'm not sure whether or not I was bluffing, but we hit the target bet size at least. I checkcalled £16 on J 8 7, checkcalled £27 on a brick turn and checkraised a £44 bet to £133. The dealer started counting it and Nik goes "you don't have to count it, it's £133" and tankfolded what looked like a hand that would otherwise be a snapfold. Some fun levels itt.

 - Okay the 72 hand. I raise the button to £15 with behind a few limpers. The small blind, who was a complete weirdo btw (I know I've insulted two customers now, but he really was; maybe if I'd have won the pot he'd have bitten me or something) makes it £45. Patrick Stewart calls and I call. The flop is Two Clubs and it's checked to me. I know I've been betting a bunch of hands that are really easy to check back recently but tell me this isn't a slamdunk bet-when-checked-to spot with this exact hand, ranges considered. So I bet £87 and the weirdo now sticks £240 in, Patrick folds, and we call immediately. We brick the run out and turn over jack high. He waits a while and sheepishly reveals the two hearts. "I was representing aces." Sure were, kid! Chips please. Cheesy

I feel it also might be worth mentioning yesterday was maybe biggest winning day. I can't really remember as I lost my records for last year prior to August, but £1550 feels like it just about clinches it. Still doesn't top my biggest losing session of course - a record which I recently broke - but I don't mind this particular personal best so much. After the 72 hand, I was ready to strap myself in for a bumpy ride through Grindsville, but actually all that happened is I made a flush and two sets and stacked four people lol. Had my first 5-tray day and confidence is absolutely soaring. Upswing please?

5 tray days must be the best.

We were talking about multiple tray days earlier in the session and how they don't always equate to how much you're winning. For example, taking away 3.5k from the 2/5 only required two trays for example, and I've walked away from the 1/1 as a small loser requiring two trays.

5 trays was the best though, good read.

Anyone done more than five?

Thanks Dreenie. Life in general is going a lot better. Poker's good, and Beth and I of course could not be happier. Unless we had some money between us of course haha Cheesy

Six trays of $1 chips is so boss though! I bet that was an insane stack at the table! Please tell me you have photos.

Unfortunately your eyes deceive you, and they are just £2 chips that for some reason I accumulated in the region of 150 of.

It was not. Also, it rained. Not sure if that's a coincidence or correlation

Sadly no pics, was building insane towers while folding in the O8 game though. Only started with 1 rack too before someone asks how much I bought in for! Smiley
