I've had 3 ldv convoys in the last 8 years mate and as long as you got a mate who can do the work on then then pretty much anything can be done  on the cheap. Good little work horses and we used to just bung all the ladders in which was a god send because I lost count how many times ladders slid of the roof racks of the estate cars I used to use (montego's lol).

You don't mention if the purchaser has come back and comPlained and if he hasn't then don't let it bother you. £500 is a decent price and if you are using it for business it pays for itself in no time. I am pretty sure that everyone knows that you are decent fella and are just joking that you trimmed this guy. I bet he is sat thinking that he has ripped you for £50 by not giving you what you wanted

Of course you did wrong, and you know it.

Could have easily got £650 for it.

Yeah, the local alcoholic has rinsed you mate. If the van's still there go round and have words. I'd want my nifty back but would settle for £20 and 4 cans.

How would I feel if Gareth bought a van for £500. I suppose normal.

When you say the MOT is due I think it's down to him to ask you if you're aware of any problems etc. If you lie at this point then yes that would be wrong. But as he didn't even ask it's his problem imo.

gatso, you've just had a few cans in the park and now you're wobbling your way home down the road where leethefish lives. You are intrigued to notice a TV crew on the corner. Upon investigation you discover that they are filming an episode of The Bill. There is drama on set thou cos the villain's shitty ldv convoy has broken down and they can't continue recording the episode. They will pay 1k if they can source a replacement within the hour. You continue your journey down the road and run into leethefish transferring tools etc into his new van and find out he will sell you a shitty ldv convoy for £550. Would you be a real good neighbour and pass on the info about the van being worth 1k to the people up the street or would you just buy the van?

Feck knows. They're filming it for Dave or w/e.

Anybody...browsing a car boot sale and you see a ickle china plate you know is worth £200. The guy wants a fiver for it. Do you stop and educate him about the item's true value or do you just buy the mofo ickle china plate? I would prob beat the guy down to £3.50 myself.
